(( Joku löi mua tarinasuoneen ja se ei lopeta vuotoaan.
Eli, innostuin taas tarinoimaan.

Enjoy. ))

Prologue
With a cheerful smile, Hekate Stormsword walked back into the mining guild. It has been over five months since she had slain a green dragon. At last, there was no one making big fuzz over it and she could continue living normally. Business as usual, as some might say.

On her way she walked across a woman in a fine gown. She froze. The woman walked past her, her long, raven black hair gently dancing with the wind. She looked as if she was deep in thought, or perhaps daydreaming, with a gentle smile on her lips. She was pretty as a picture… no, beautiful as a goddess. Hekate turned and stared as she walked away from her, flipping her hair back as she turned and stepped behind a corner. She-

She would have to bloody concentrate, she realised. Shaking her head, she stepped into the mining guild.

Part I: I see you, ‘cause you won’t get out of my way…

Throwing another bagful of coal to the banker and marching back to the mining guild, Hekate simply couldn’t get what she saw earlier out of her mind. She was absolutely stunned, by a woman. Was that even normal? Shaking her head again, she climbed down the ladder.

“Ah be likin’ yer knickers, lass!” a drunken miner exclaimed with laughter. As soon as she was down, Hekate simply sighed and punched him in the face. As expected, it was enough to knock him out cold. With a sigh, Hekate walked forth to the many coal rocks. It was surprising. All these years and the guild still had coal left to mine? Shrugging, the woman raised her pickaxe and mercilessly struck the vein of black material she found in a nearby rock. A lump of coal, roughly a pound’s worth, broke off. Hekate quickly picked it up, stuffed it into her bag and walked on to the next rock.

Another twenty-seven lumps of coal later, Hekate marched back to the stairs. She giggled a little as she noticed the man she had knocked out previously. He mumbled something, “… vittumikäjätkä…”

At the bank, she threw the bag to the banker, who emptied it into the rather large heap of coal behind him. “I would like to withdraw fifteen coins,” Hekate said quickly. With a handful of coins, she walked to the local tavern and ordered a stout. “That’ll be seven coins, lass.” Tossing roughly half of her money on the bar, Hekate grabbed the stout as soon as it was delivered and took a swig. A woman appeared next to her and made an order, “One wizard mind bomb, please.”

“Coming right up, lass.” As she paid and took a careful sip, she looked to her right at Hekate. “Say… have I seen you somewhere?”

Wiping a spot of dirt off her cheek, Hekate looked at the woman. It was her. Hekate’s heart skipped a beat and she almost fainted. “I-I uhh… yeah, I was, erm… wait, what?” she blabbered very hastily.

The well-dressed woman tilted her head, her black hair flowing on her shoulder, “What did you say, miss?”

Hekate blushed a little. That is just… amazing.

“IthinkIsawyouafewhoursagoIwasonmywayt-…” Hekate’s blabber was interrupted by the woman’s finger appearing on top of her lips.

“That’s cute, but I don’t understand a word,” she said with a giggle as she lifted her finger off Hekate’s lips, “What’s your name, miss…” she eyed the pickaxe Hekate was holding on her shoulder, “miss Miner?”

“H-He-Hekate Stormsword, nice to, umm… meet you… ehm…”

“Vanessa. Vanessa Stillwind.”

”… Lady Stillwind.”

Smiling, Vanessa took another careful sip from her pint. “You know, I didn’t think there’d be people as pretty as you within miners.”

Blushing, Hekate let out a nervous chuckle, “Well-umm… us miners do know how to surprise others, eh?” Vanessa nodded to this. Before even noticing, Hekate was finished with her stout. Without even blinking, she ordered another one. “Say, Vanessa…” she started carefully, “Why would a noble lady like you talk to commoners like me? I’m just… curious.”

Nice going, idiot. Now you screwed it up!

“It’s because I’m curious too, Hekate. I find other noblemen and –women boring, to be honest with you. All they talk about is fashion, marriage and…” she rolled her eyes, “Dragonslaying.”

Laughing, Hekate fell to the floor. “What? What? Why is that funny?” Vanessa asked with a blink. As she finally regained control of herself, she got up and answered, “Dragonslaying… heh, I tried that once… it’s not that great.”

Vanessa’s eyes widened, “You’ve… slain a dragon?”

“Your reaction doesn’t surprise me… yes, I have.”

Vanessa glanced at the clock in the corner and gasped, “I’m going to be late! I’ll see you later, Hekate!” and with that, she dashed out of the tavern.

Sighing, Hekate finished her stout and returned to work.

As she took a coal load to the bank and walked back into the guild every now and then, she met Vanessa many times. Each time, the interaction was the same:

”Good afternoon, Lady Stillwind.”

“Afternoon, Hekate.”

I wonder what she’s doing if she has to move back and forth like that too.

Then, at seven o’clock, they met at the bank Hekate tossed both her bag and her Runite pickaxe to the banker and stretched, letting out a relaxed sigh. Vanessa nodded politely at the banker and gave him a fistful of what looked like small pebbles one san see on the road, only a lot smoother. Then, she removed something from her head. It was a tiara, with a bright white stone attached to it.

”Say, Lady Stillwind… do you have any plans for next Saturday? I was wondering if we could go for a pint or something.”

“Oh, I’d love to. I have a few things to do at noon, but how about four?”

Both women nodded, said quick farewells and headed home.

Hekate just couldn’t sleep that night. She was looking forward to meet Vanessa again. She was excited, she was happy…

And she couldn’t figure out why.

Part II: I hear you, ‘cause you won’t quit screaming my name…

It was a calm Friday evening. A lone woman in a white dress walked down the streets, receiving a lot of male attention as she went. She couldn’t care less, for she was in search for something… or rather, someone. Soon, a man clad in a heavy mithril platemail stood in front of her. “Say, pretty lass… what are you doing here at this hour? All alone? Are you, by any cha-“

“No, no, and no. Go fap somewhere, I’m not interested,” the woman answered swiftly and tried to get past him.

He grabbed her by the shoulders and grinned widely, “Oh, but you don’t understand… this isn’t a request.” With that, he grabbed the woman by the wrists. Ignoring her screams and struggling, which no one would notice in the alley they were, he slammed her against the wall. “I’ve had a long day, girl. It’s about time I get to enjoy myself a little, don’t you think?”

With that, the young warrior attempted to tear the woman’s clothes off. Overwhelmed by her fear, Vanessa Esmeralda Stillwind placed one hand in her pocket and slammed the other against the man’s chest and screamed, “WIND WAVE!”

A small amount of runes vanished from her pocket, and the man was thrown away by the spell. Windows nearby shattered under the pressure and the noise hurt her ears. I really didn’t want to resort to that.

Flying roughly a hundred meters away before slamming against the city wall with a loud clank, the man fell motionless to the ground. No matter how much the man disgusted her, Vanessa couldn’t just leave him be. She swiftly walked to him and placed a hand under his nose. Noticing that he was still breathing, she simply got up and walked away.

Meanwhile, near the local tavern

“Damn this bloody animal!” Hekate yelled as she jumped out of the bull’s way. The aggressive mammal grunted angrily as it missed its target once again. Slowly, it turned it’s muscular body towards the slim woman and braced for another assault. Hekate glared venomously at the bull. This was easily the 50th time she had met this particular animal, and nearly as many times she has been forced to fight it. It was her worst enemy… her nemesis.

Dodging the bull’s assault again, Hekate gritted her teeth. Time to do the classic. She took a deep breath and dashed towards the bull, which was once again running towards her, glaring at her with its red, blazing eyes. Hekate leapt, and placed her hands right between the bull’s razor sharp horns. It worked, and once again she flipped behind this creature of raw strength. The bull, confused and also exhausted, dropped to the ground and fell asleep.

With that, Hekate leaned herself against the closest wall, panting heavily. A while passed, and she felt a very sudden change in the wind and heard a loud clanking sound. What was that? She took a deep breath and dashed towards the alley she thought the sound came from.

On her way, she met Vanessa in another quiet ally she commonly used as a shortcut. She didn’t notice Hekate, her dress was torn and she was seemingly quite upset. Hekate spoke just as Vanessa was walking past her.

“Umm… Lady Stillwind?” she started carefully, “Is something wrong?”

Vanessa froze. She slowly turned her head, “… Hekate?”

Hekate nodded, and with that, Vanessa walked to her and wrapped her arms around her. Hekate opened her mouth to speak, but she was silenced by a sob. Silently, Vanessa began crying on her shoulder. Knowing of nothing else to do, she gently returned the hug and simply held her. A while passed like this before Hekate gathered her courage and slowly raised a hand to stroke Vanessa’s long, raven black hair. It pained her to see her new friend this upset, it pained her more than anything had before. Not long until she noticed a small tear roll down her own cheek aswell. Sighing, she took a firm hold of Vanessa and closed her eyes. At least… I’m there for her.

Eventually, Vanessa stopped crying. Yet, she didn’t let go of Hekate. She gently leaned against the stronger woman, shifting into a more comfortable position. Hekate smiled gently, once again stroking her hair. For what could have been hours, the two embraced.

“Lady Stillwind… what happened?” Hekate asked sternly, looking Vanessa into the eyes.

Unsurely, Vanessa began explaining, “I-uhh… there was this… man, and he…”

“Say no more,” Hekate interrupted, “I understand.”

“… Vanessa.”

“Wha?”

“It’s Vanessa, Hekate… call me Vanessa.”

Hekate smiled, “If you insist…” she slowly drew her hand to stroke Vanessa’s cheek, “… Vanessa.”

“What time is it?” Vanessa asked quickly, letting go of Hekate and looking around for a clock.

“Half past seven, why?”

Vanessa smacked her forehead, “I’m gonna be late again! Uhm… I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

Hekate nodded, and watched as Vanessa dashed into the streets. She daydreamed the entire journey back home. After a quick bath, she went to bed. Trying to get some sleep, she couldn’t help thinking again. Why do I feel this way? Why does seeing her make me happy? What is this overpowering feeling? Am I losing it? Is it allright if we’ll be more than friends? I don’t know… I don’t care…

By beautiful Vanessa…

Part III: I feel you, ‘cause you won’t stop touching my skin…

At long last, the moment Hekate had looked forward to arrived. She smiled broadly as she saw Vanessa enter the bank, where the two had earlier agreed to meet. In an instant, she spoke, “Afternoon, Vanessa.”

“Ah, Hekate. Say, do you want to know why I wished to meet here?” Vanessa answered with a little giggle. Raising an eyebrow, Hekate nodded. Vanessa quickly turned to the banker and lowered her voice, “Twice the usual amount of essence and both of my tiaras.” The banker nodded, and Vanessa turned back to Hekate, “I have a little something to show you.”

Vanessa took a few items Hekate didn’t recognise from the banker and gestured for her to follow. As expected, she did so without hesitation. As they walked, Hekate slowly eyed Vanessa up and down, many times. It was, without a shadow of doubt, an arousing sight. She couldn’t help wondering: what could possibly be the cause of her body acting to strangely near another woman. It was, surely, something the public would frown upon. Not like she cared, it was Saturday and she was with Vanessa. Nothing will go wrong… I won’t allow it.

Hekate hardly noticed that the two were already off the road and walking in a forest south of Falador. They came across a pile of mossy rocks that looked untouched. Hekate tilted her head, “You wanted to show me… some old rocks?”

Vanessa smiled, and offered her a tiara with a large white stone attached to it, “Put this on.”

Hekate blinked, “… sounds somewhat stupid but… okay.” She placed the tiara on her head and adjusted it a little, seeming to feel somewhat awkward with it.

“It looks so cute on you,” Vanessa said with a soft giggle.

Hekate blushed brightly, “Shut up!”

Vanessu just giggled a little more at that before pointing the mossy rocks, “I bet you won’t dare bash your head on one of those.”

“Why would I do that?”

“To amuse me.”

“Tsk tsk… you underestimate me!” Hekate yelled as she dashed to the rocks and mercilessly threw herself head on at one of the large rocks. She vanished, Vanessa put on her own tiara before walking to the same rock and tapping it with a finger, smiling.

Hekate smashed against the grassy ground in a location she didn’t know, grunting slightly in her pain. A second or so, she heard a chuckle behind herself. She got up and turned around only to see Vanessa leaning against a pillar, holding her stomach and laughing. “… I am not amused,” she muttered before walking to Vanessa and prodding her on the shoulder. As she finally stopped laughing and caught her breath again, Vanessa offered Hekate a small pouch. “Take that and follow me, no questions. Okay?”

Hekate simply nodded and followed her to a small, altar-like apparatus. Vanessa emptied her own pouch on the altar. Again, it was full of what looked like a bunch of really smooth pebbles. She picked one up, pressed it against the white stone in her tiara and put it aside. Hekate stepped closer to examine, and noticed that the pebbles had a small, white symbol on them. Shyly, Hekate looked at Vanessa and asked, “Uhm… what are these?”

“Air runes, basic elemental stuff… you didn’t know?”

“… I’m a blacksmith’s daughter, how could I?”

Vanessa shrugged, “I thought it was common knowledge… guess not.”

Hekate looked away, seemingly embarrassed, “Maybe so…” Her eyes widened as she felt Vanessa’s arms wrap around her waist. “I’m sorry, did I say something bad?” she whispered in Hekate’s ear. Hekate slowly turned herself to face Vanessa only to be kissed on the cheek. Her heart skipped a beat. Is this for real?

“I brought you all the way here for a reason, Hekate…” Vanessa whispered, “All this time I’ve been in denial, but after yesterday I can’t deny what my heart says. Some days ago, I met an angel. An angel who shattered the boundaries of love and seduced me with her captivating blue eyes. One look, and there was nothing I could do. I thought I would never meet that angel again, but I did… many times. I wanted to meet her once more, but was too afraid to ask. She read my mind and asked herself. Then, a man tried to force himself on me. I was, of course, able to take care of myself, but… I needed a shoulder, and that angel appeared to offer me one. It was then that I truly realised and accepted my feelings. And I want to express them, now more than ever.”

Vanessa gently pressed the obviously surprised Hekate against a nearby pillar and leaned in for an extremely sensual, passionate kiss. Hekate’s eyes widened, she would have never expected that her feelings were returned afterall. Overwhelmed by her desires, she hastily put her arms around Vanessa, closed her eyes and returned the kiss. Oh, how long it lasted. It was the first time for both Vanessa and Hekate, and neither of them wanted to stop… not now, not ever.

As this seemingly endless kiss continued, Vanessa let out a hum of enjoyment as she felt Hekate’s hand glide down her well-curved body, all the way down to her bum. One soft squeeze later, Hekate tried to shift into a more comfortable position, seeing that being pushed against a stone pillar wasn’t exactly the best possible way to be. During this attempt, she slipped, having them both fall on the soft grass. The kiss was broken, and for a minute or so the two just stared at each other. Vanessa then leaned in for another kiss after saying the three words, “Hekate… I love you.”

The second kiss was a lot briefer, but just as enthusiastic. As it ended, Hekate rolled herself on top of Vanessa with one hand around her waist and the other firmly holding one of her breasts. “And I love you, Vanessa,” she whispered before leaning in for a third kiss. Again, it lasted for several minutes, both of the newfound lovers only wishing for more. It was a sight of utter beauty, no doubt. It was almost a shame there was no one witnessing this scene of love between girls.

For hours, the two women rolled around on the grass and fondled each other, exchanging fiery kisses. It was already dark when the two finally ended their outburst. Both of the women, panting heavily with their clothing partly moved aside, slowly got up and straightened their dresses.

“It’s getting late,” Hekate said with a smile, “Would it be a good idea to head back into the city before we catch a cold?”

Vanessa nodded quickly, trying to hide the healthy red decorating her cheeks. She picked up the two tiaras from the ground, smiling as she remembered how hastily they were removed. With that, she took Hekate’s hand and took her to a small portal located near the altar. They walked back to Falador hand in hand, stopping for a casual, loving kiss every now and then. Not saying a word, they paced into the inn and ordered a room. As soon as the key was given to them, they ran giggling into their room. Vanessa locked the door behind her, and within seconds she was clung to Hekate. They made their way to the bed, their clothes removed with great haste and thrown randomly across the room. As they proceeded from making out to passionate lovemaking, one wonderful thought filled Vanessa’s mind.

Her angel would fly her to heaven that night…

Part IV: The young angel and her goddess

Vanessa opened her eyes. It was still difficult for her to believe her eyes. There she was, the young angel she loved so. She hummed a little in her peaceful slumber, smiling ever so sweetly. Her golden hair cascaded beautifully over the white pillow she rested her head on. Vanessa stroked her cheek as she admiringly eyed her figure. The slim feminine frame freed from the restraining confines of clothes, the small muscles, the gentle facial expression… she was perfect. Smiling, Vanessa moved a hand across the sleeping woman’s back. No wings… Surely she just hid them again, shy creature. She hoped for her loved one to wake up soon, just so that she would see her most beautiful feature: her piercing, seductive blue eyes. Moving herself right next to her, Vanessa gently put her arms around Hekate and held her. Skin on skin, she just lied there clung to her angel.

Soon, Vanessa was lost in her own happiness. At last, she had found serenity. Peace, tranquillity and utter happiness. Subconsciously, she promised herself that she would love her Hekate for as long as she’d be able to feel that way. As she gently moved her hand down to Hekate’s bottom, she giggled quietly. She closed her eyes and kissed the sleeping woman on the cheek before resting her head on the same pillow as her lover…

And fell asleep.

Not too long afterwards, she was awakened by a gentle kiss. She opened her eyes only to see Hekate’s. For that short while, she was absolutely certain she was in heaven again. As the kiss broke, the two women simply looked into each other’s eyes, existing only for each other. At long last, Vanessa opened her mouth to speak, “Good morning…”

“Morning…” there was a pause, “Dear.” Smiling, Vanessa got out of the bed and started dressing up, eyeing the clock as she did. Hekate giggled, “Going somewhere, are you?”

Vanessa answered only to be interrupted, “Well, yes, there’s thing I have t-“

“Bullshit!” Hekate exclaimed with a loud giggle, “It’s Sunday, and you’re not going anywhere.”

“It is?”

“Yes, now get back here so I can undress you again!”

I was absolutely sure it’s Monday. Delighted by this, Vanessa jumped right back into the bed. Right after Hekate pulled the sheets over their heads, she felt how her dress was removed in a rather hasty manner. Sooner than she could react she felt Hekate’s lips against her own, letting out a soft hum on enjoyment as their tongues met. Once more, her angel would take her for a flight. Once again she would allow herself to forget about everything else, to live for the moment. It was as if time had stopped on its tracks for the two. They were together and they were alone. None would disturb them, allowing them to devote themselves to each other for the entire day. Perhaps all of this was something temporary, something that would be over as soon as it began. No… It was a thought Vanessa wouldn’t tolerate.

However, this wasn’t the time for her to think about such. Perhaps it wasn’t even time to be taken to a world of pleasures again. Yes indeed, it was her turn to please her beloved, divine entity. As Vanessa moved from embracing to fondling and on to caressing, she could only smile as her love whimpered out her enjoyment. Briefly, she wondered if Hekate felt that way when she was taking her from the craze of love to a mind-blowing, life-altering climax. Hekate, surprised by Vanessa’s actions, attempted to return the favour. Not this time, sweetheart…

The tension rose. Vanessa giggled to herself as her angel averted her thighs, gasping as she stroked her. At long last, the younger woman surrendered, allowing herself to be taken by Vanessa. She continued, knowing that her angel would soon reach heaven by mortal means. Another quiet moan escaped those smooth, cherry-like lips. Overwhelmed by both the increasing pleasure and the exhaustion, Hekate whimpered. That’s right, my love. Just a little more.

A loud, high-pitched gasp, a long sigh of utter satisfaction. She was there. Proud of her conquest, Vanessa slid her hand across the slim features of her angel. She was covered in sweat, and evidently it only emphasized her gorgeous, bronze skin. As her hand found its way to Hekate’s chest, she felt her throbbing heart, and it made her smile. Humming, she placed her ear to the soft breast, listening to Hekate’s heart race. Mine… all mine.

Vanessa closed her eyes, letting out a content sigh. If only she would stay this way forever. She listened to her angel’s heavy panting and the throbbing of her heart, hoping that time would stop, or at least slow down. As unfortunate as it is, it didn’t. Slowly, Vanessa pulled herself to face Hekate and leaned in for a sensual, loving kiss her conquest barely had the stamina to return.

“Tell me…” Vanessa said as soon as the kiss broke, “Would you like to head someplace else? This room feels a bit too public.” Hekate nodded quickly, trying to catch her breath again. Vanessa eyed her admiringly as she dressed up. “Hurry up, will you?”

“… Wait up…” Hekate murmured back, pushing herself up and tiredly climbing out of the bed. Vanessa leant against the doorway, following her with her eyes. As soon as they both were dressed, Vanessa grabbed Hekate by the wrist and ran out, leading the two out of the inn with a bright smile. They had to be someplace else. Seeing that something like this hasn’t happened in the public, two women should know better than to so publicly express their feelings for each other. Without saying a word, they ran out of the city. Somewhere along the road, Vanessa turned and headed into the woods still dragging Hekate along.

“Where’re you taking me?” Hekate asked, panting heavily as she ran behind Vanessa, trying to keep up.

“You’ll see.” Vanessa giggled.

As intended, they reached a small open area. Letting go of Hekate’s wrist, Vanessa took a deep breath. She looked into the cloudless sky with a bright smile. “I often come here when I need some time by myself,” she said while sitting down on a fallen tree. As she caught her breath, Hekate slowly wandered towards Vanessa and sat down next to her. “So… why are you showing it to me then?”

”Why, you ask?” Vanessa smiled smugly, “Not telling.”

“Fine…” Hekate murmured as she slowly shifted a little closer. As the two women cuddled up against each other, Vanessa looked down at her loved one. “I wonder… did it hurt?”

“What did?”

“When you fell from the sky,” Vanessa said while stroking Hekate’s back, “Angel’s will fall without their wings.”

Hekate looked away, blushing, “It’s… actually quite flattering when it’s said by you… but really, I’m not an angel.”

“Oh yes you are.”

“Am not.”

“Are too!”

“I wonder what that makes you, then.”

This time, it was Vanessa’s turn to blush, “Eh?”

“An archangel? No… a goddess.” Hekate said with a smile, “If I’m your angel, then you’re my goddess.”

“I give up,” Vanessa said as she put an arm around Hekate and looked into the cloudless sky again. Angel or not, she’s mine. All mine.

For untold hours, they embraced in utter privacy and just talked. The subject was rarely anything important, but it worked for them as long as they had something to talk about. As the sun started setting, Vanessa eyed the view in admiration, her head resting peacefully between Hekate’s breasts.

“I think it’s about time to say ‘farewell’.” Hekate said, lovingly stroking Vanessa’s cheek.

“Why would that be, dear?”

“… I’m hungry, we haven’t had anything to eat all day. Besides, it’s getting late.”

Vanessa giggled, “Allright then… Any ideas when I could see you again?”

“Sometime soon,” Hekate said with a wink as she slowly let go of Vanessa and stood up, “Sweet dreams, dear.”

“You too,” Vanessa answered, watching Hekate walk into the forest towards Falador. Still excited, she failed a few times trying to teleport herself back to Falador. One magical trip and a short walk later, she was back in the dorms where she usually spent her nights. In the corridor, she met a young, red haired man in fiery orange robes. As he noticed her, he grinned. “Well well, what would Stillwind be doing up at this hour?”

“None of your concern, Ragefire,” was Vanessa’s quick response as she simply walked past him, smiling broadly. Silly little man…

“Someone got laid, epicly.” Hlaine Ragefire muttered to himself as he continued walking.

As Vanessa entered her room, she took a quick look around. Yup, everything’s just the way I left it. Not thinking of it any further, she jumped into the bed and pulled the sheets over her head.

I doubt I need to tell you who she soon dreamt of.

Part V: Those who accept, and those who don’t

In the dark shafts of the mining guild, Hekate collected another lump of coal. Today, she was rather slow. Once every few minutes she simply leant against her pickaxe, a dreamy sigh pointing it out quite clearly what (or who, to be exact) she was thinking about. Almost every time, she was interrupted by an annoyed dwarf yelling at her, “OI! Stormsword! Quit yer nappin’ an git back ta work!”

“Yeah… sure…”

One quick bank visit later, Hekate met her mother on the way back to the mines. “Hi there, Hekate. Been busy?” Gicciolina asked with a gentle smile, offering her daughter a small cup, “Coffee?”

Gratefully accepting it, Hekate took a quick sip, “I should probably daydream less, Brigmi yelled at me about a dozen times.”

“Did he now? Well, about time you took a little break.” Gicciolina said with a little smirk and started walking towards home. As the two walked in and sat down at the kitchen table.

“So… what were you daydreaming about? Dragonslaying?” Gicciolina asked with a smirk.

“You do know what I think about being reminded about that, so please stop. Anyway, no,” was Hekate’s quick, almost automatic, response.

”Well what was it then? An attractive-looking man? With big big muscles and a perfect tan?”

“… close, but no.”

“My, my… who’s the lucky man? Tell me tell me tell me tell me!”

Hekate chuckled nervously, looking away from her mother, “Uhm… it’s kinda funny. You see, mom…”

“Who is he? Who is he? Tell me!”

“He’s… ehm… he’s a she. Her name’s Vanessa.”

Gicciolina blinked a few times, tilting her head, “… wait, what?”

“You heard me perfectly. I’m in love with a woman.”

“But, ehm, isn’t that kind of…” the exotic Kharidian woman mumbled while making strange hand signals, “Oh, I get it! You’ve become very good friends with someone, haven’t you?”

Hekate sighed, “No, mother… it’s a little more than that.”

“It is? I don’t understand what you mean.”

Hekate muttered something to herself before turning to her mother again, “You know what it’s like between you and dad…”

“Ye~s?”

“It’s like that!

Gicciolina gasped, “No way!” After receiving a stern, slightly angered “Yes way” as a response, she leant back with an expression of utter confusion. “So… this woman, this… Vanessa… just how did you two… you know, end up with each other?”

Hekate smiled, faintly, “Even now, I’m wondering what hit me. I don’t know why, but for some reason I find myself attracted to her. Besides, men nowadays are quite disgusting. Beards, moustaches and cocky attitudes have a lot to be desired if ya ask me. Listening to them blabber about how awesome they are and getting bristles up your nose is… sorry, off topic. Anyway, I don’t know how it happened, but the situation is what it is and there’s nothing any of us can do about it. I know you wanted me to marry some rich dragonslayer so I’d never have to work again but this is why I never make plans; they always fail.”

Gicciolina scratched her head, slowly taking in what she just heard, “Ehm… I see… So-uhm… geez, I’ve never even heard of anything like this. So who is this Vanessa, exactly?”

“Well, she’s a Stillwind.”

“What?! My daughter is dating a Stillwind? Well that changes everything!” the Kharidian lady exclaimed in joy.

”… eh? What’s so special in that?” Hekate asked, blinking.

“You’re not even aware of it? You’re dating a bloody sorceress! The Stillwinds have always been a major factor in the local academy of magic. Though I still have my doubts. What will the people think of you making… ehm…” Gicciolina said with a little shrug, “Having a bit of ‘fun’ by yourselves, or perhaps doing some good old fashioned public Kharidian kissing?”

Hekate quickly looked away, trying to hide the faint blush that quickly appeared to decorate her cheeks, “I don’t know, we’ve never… well, done such things in public… wait, a sorceress?”

Gicciolina nodded, “Yup.”

“No wonder her little ‘hobbies’ are so weird… anyway, you’re, ehm… not approving to this, I suppose?”

“Honey, whatever rocks your boat.” Gicciolina winked slyly at her daughter, “But make sure you won’t get into trouble with that, allright? I don’t want to see you at the gallows prosecuted of… I dunno, whatever the public may make up to have you and your…” There was a pause, “… girlfriend, up to be lynched. It would be too much for me.”

Smiling, Hekate nodded, “I promise, and… thank you, mom. I knew I could trust you with this.”

”Now get back to work, you’ll be late soon.”

Quickly finishing her coffee, Hekate grabbed her pickaxe and paced back into the mines, daydreaming the entire journey. Back in the dark mining shaft, she was soon lost in thought as she mercilessly smashed the pick against the coal deposits, picking up the bits that came off. What could possibly explain this feeling of gladness that simply won’t go away? It was so strong it was strange. Who could possibly frown upon such happiness? Love… what a strange thing. What else could explain all the unlikely couples that were ever so common in Falador? And two women… probably the most unlikely relationship of them all. Deep in thought, Hekate simply rested her pickaxe on her shoulder and stared upwards with a dreamy expression.

“Do I really hafta remind ye again, girl? Git back ta work!”

The young woman sighed. “Yes yes… bloody dwarves,” she muttered as she walked to another deposit of coal and took a firm hold of her pick…

Meanwhile, somewhere in Falador.

“Vanessa, what is the meaning of this?” a seemingly rather aged man asked, crossing his arms over his chest and generally looking disappointed.

“It’s none of your concern,” was Vanessa’s swift response. She continued walking, only to be stopped by that very man standing in front of her. Some of the bystanders stopped and stared at him, whispering something about wizards.

“I’m not in the mood for playing, father. You know it too well that I’m faster in portal sorcery than you’ll ever be,” Vanessa muttered angrily as she warped roughly a hundred feet away from the man and kept walking. Again, the man was in front of her. He was already panting.

“Vanessa, I know what you’ve been up to.”

“… so, what have I been up to?”

“You’ve been with some woman. We’re busy enough as it is, you’re in no position to make friends.”

“Friends, eh?” Vanessa asked with a smug smile on her lips, “Ignorance is a bliss, father.”

“What are you implying, girl?”

“Nothing, nothing at all.”

“Ever since your mother died, you’ve kept everything you do a mystery from me. Why, Vanessa?”

“Because what I do with my life is not your decision to make. We’ve had this conversation before.”

Sighing, Gregor Stillwind placed his hands on her daughter’s shoulders, “Vanessa, after Celeste moved from here to eternity, you’ve been the only thing in my life. I know I’ve said this a million times before, but it’s difficult for a busy man like me to give you as much attention that I’d wish to give.”

Vanessa pushed him away and shook his head, “No, father… you’re already giving me enough, you just have to understand it. I need some privacy, and sending your little spies after me is not exactly granting me any. What I do with my…” there was a brief pause as Vanessa scratched her head, “Friends, is none of your concern. It’s my own free time, the me-time, we’re dealing with. Give me some space!” she exclaimed as she angrily threw a few runestones on the ground and vanished.

Angered, Gregor simply turned around and walked away, ignoring the amazed crowd. He could easily locate her and teleport after her, but he knew it would only make things worse.

Outside a modest house somewhere in the less wealthy areas of Falador, Vanessa stomped the ground and groaned. Damnit, why won’t he just leave me alone? Taking a deep breath, she paced to a nearby bench and sat down. She was soon lost in thought as she gazed up into the sky. None know how long she just sat there thinking. None in the neighbourhood recognised this lady, but most envied the finely trimmed snow-white dress she wore. She felt a raindrop fall on her forehead and almost by instinct she warp-dashed to the door of a nearby house and stepped in. Teleporting to the dorms takes time, I suppose the ones living here won’t mind me being here for a while As she rummaged through the small bag of runes tied to her waist collecting the ones she’d need, she noticed a familiar figure. A pitch black, plain dress worn by a slightly muscular woman with dirty blonde hair. Her heart skipped a beat. Could it be I’m in her home?

“Hekate? Is that you?” she asked shyly.

The younger woman slowly looked over her shoulder and blinked as she recognised the sorceress, “Vanessa? What’re you doing in here?”

“WAI~!” Vanessa yelled in joy as she pounced Hekate. As they both fell to the flood with a loud thud, she leaned in for a fiery kiss Hekate was knowingly not shy to return. As this brief expression of love ended, both looked up to see a rugged, muscular man with a blacksmith’s hammer in his hand.

“My, my…” he started, “I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.”

Hekate blushed brightly and opened her mouth to speak, but her father was faster, “Yer mom told me ‘bout this thing, girl. I don’t know if I should be for or against this, but ye remember what I told ya ‘bout this loving stuff, no?”

Hekate nodded briefly, “Yes… as long as I’m sure that person is the one, I can be with anyone I’d like.”

“I’m a man of my word, girl.” The man helped her daughter up as Vanessa quickly jumped off looking highly embarrassed, “And ye must be Vanessa, am I right? I’m Benjamin Stormsword, in case we’ll be meeting again.”

“Y-yes, sir. Vanessa Stillwind,” Vanessa quickly responded, doing a hasty, clumsy curtsey.

“I’m trusting you with my daughter, Lady Stillwind. I feel that I’m not doing that in vain.” Benjamin said with a smile, “Now if ye’ll excuse me, I’m tired. Think I’ll hit the sac… Gicci! Where ya et? C’mere mah darlin’!”

As he walked into one of the two bedrooms and Vanessa followed Hekate to the other, the Stormsword family and their special guest climbed into the beds and started sleeping.

… “sleeping”, hehehe, yeah right…

Part VI: Escaping from reality – part one.

Hekate slowly dressed up, not being able to take her eyes off the naked woman sleeping in her bed. If it were up to her, she’d watch her sleeping beauty all day. It was a shame it was a Wednesday, just another day of work for your usual miner. Smiling, she leant in and gently kissed Vanessa on the cheek before grabbing her pickaxe and heading for the mines…

An hour or so later, Vanessa woke up. “Honey?” she called for her angel in the empty house. Not receiving any answer, she simply dressed up and teleported out. At the dusk of relief and relaxation that follows a day of hard work, she paid her dorm a quick visit before heading back to the Stormsword’s. Greeting Gicciolina and Benjamin politely as she passed them, she walked into Hekate’s small room. At first, it appeared empty. Mere seconds later, she felt two very familiar arms wrap around her waist. There was nothing to say at the moment.
They fell into each other’s embrace.

Some days passed like this. Both of the uncommon lovers living their so called “normal” lives during the day and spending quality time together at night. One morning, Vanessa opened her eyes to see her divine entity dress up.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Vanessa asked with a giggle from Hekate’s bed.

“Honey, I have a job. Brigmi’s gonna whip me if I’m not in the mines by eight o’clock.” Hekate answered swiftly, putting on her plain pitch-black dress with great haste.

“Don’t you remember what day it is today?”

“… What day is it today?”

“Silly! It’s 6th of June, the monthly market day of Varrock. You’re coming with me, and I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.” Vanessa giggled, jumping out of the bed to search her clothes.

“And just how are we supposed to get ourselves there in time? It takes what? Ten hours to walk there?”

“What am I?” Vanessa asked with a grin.

“… A sorceress?”

“Precisely! What are you still worrying about?”

“I still have to go to work.”

“Lies. It’s Saturday~.”

Blinking, Hekate walked out of the room and looked at the calendar full of various notes and markings on the kitchen wall. “You’re right, it is Saturday.” Thought it was Friday now…

A smile appeared to Hekate’s lips as she felt Vanessa’s arms wrap around her, the soft hands reaching out for her bosom. “So, shall we?”

Vanessa gently squeezed her angel’s firm breasts as she vanished, giggling as she tapped her rune pouch. With that, she was following Hekate to Misthalin’s capitol…

The central fountain of Varrock, roughly 0.3 seconds later

“Meep!”

Hekate leapt behind a nearby barrel, covering her private areas. Where am I? Why is everyone looking at me? This is embarrassing. Where are my clothes? A second or so later, Vanessa appeared some twenty feet off her. She took a quick look at the confused crowd and smiled. She nodded towards Hekate and said, “First-timer. Portals, you know.”

Most just nodded quietly and proceeded to the fine art of minding one’s own business. Smiling, Vanessa took Hekate’s hand and led the embarrassed blacksmith’s daughter to a randomly selected alley. “I’m sorry about that,” she said as soon as they were alone, “I just couldn’t resist.”

“I believe you know,” Hekate mumbled, trying to hide the bright blush on her cheeks, “Just how embarrassing that is.”

“Why of course. You feel like an incredibly strong wind takes control of you and when you’re there, you feel naked. Seeing that it was done by an air sorcery specialist, it was probably even worse than that.”

“Yes, it was!” Hekate snapped with a pout, feeling her plain black dress to confirm she was still wearing it. Vanessa smiled faintly before giving Hekate a quick kiss, which the younger woman wasn’t shy to return.

“Oi ye wee harlots! Ye look like ye could use sum lovin’!”

The two women leapt off of each other and looked down the alley. A primitively masked man wielding a shortsword was facing them. In a split second Vanessa extended an arm towards him, but Hekate leapt into the line of fire. “What did you call us?” she asked calmly, reaching for her left sleeve. It was then that Vanessa noticed it: a figure of a handle of some sort could faintly be seen in the sleeve.

“Harlots! Tha’s what ye girls are, roight?” the mugger said with laughter, “Roight, tha situation is this: ye’ll gimme some lovin’ an’ no one’ll get hurt, OR, ye’ll see if ye can fight a real man.”

Angered, Hekate pulled a pristine, light-blue dagger from her sleeve. “I’ll take my chances,” she said sternly.

“Oi oi, lass! Ye’ll fight me with a wee butter knife? Ah dun’ wanna kill ye.”

”Take a closer look, ignoramus. Judging by the colour, that little sword of yours is made of steel. Am I right?” Receiving a nod from the mugger, Hekate grinned. “You will only end up swordless, should you decide to attack me.” Hekate prayed that her bluff was effective enough. Humans are smarter than dragons, after all. This could get ugly.

Vanessa groaned angrily, “Hekate, that’s enough!” She pushed her aside and extended an arm towards the mugger. Frowning faintly, she called out for her powers, “… Wind Wave.”

Nearby windows shattered under the pressure, scaring the residents. The mugger was slammed against a nearby wall, the air knocked out of him in the impact. Dizzy, he staggered a few metres towards the two women, mumbling something like “Mmmaggara…” before falling down unconscious.

“You allright?” Vanessa asked, looking to her right at Hekate.

“I-uhh… I suppose,” she answered, scratching her head. Vanessa’s frown transformed into a smile in an instant, “Come on, honey. Let’s go.”

“Where?”

“You’ll see,” Vanessa said with a giggle. With that, Hekate followed her loved one into a small house on the edge of the market square. Shyly, the blacksmith’s daughter peeked around inside, trying not to be noticed. Meanwhile, Vanessa walked right to the saleswoman and waved at her.

“Oh, Lady Stillwind! What a pleasant surprise. It’s been a while, how are you?”

“Never better, Thessalia. Mind if I look around a little? I have a…” Vanessa giggled a little before she continued, “… Friend, which I’d like to get something for.”

“As always, Lady Stillwind, you may feel free to browse. After all, you’re one of our favourite customers.” Thessalia answered with a smile. Looking to the end of the shop, she noticed Hekate. “Is that her?”

Vanessa nodded, “Yes. Cute, isn’t she? I was wondering if you had something nice for her. She’s roughly my size, perhaps an inch or two taller. Something dark, it goes nicely with her hair… oh, and take note that she has quite an impressive bosom... unlike me.” Humming thoughtfully, Vanessa looked down at her own chest.

“Oh, I have just the thing for her then!” Thessalia exclaimed in joy and rushed to a nearby shelf. She pulled out a dark purple dress. It was yet unknown, but it was exactly Hekate’s size. It was trimmed by faint yellow patterns, and it had a rather deep neckline. Vanessa giggled loudly as she imagined Hekate wearing it, “Hekate! C’mere, I have something interesting for you!”

Hekate flinched as her name was called, as if she was lost in thought. “Yes? What is it?” As she saw the dress, she appeared confused.

“Try it on, dear.” Vanessa said cheerfully, “I think it’d look great on you.”

“I-uhh,” Hekate mumbled, looking embarrassed, “I don’t know… it’s nice and all, but isn’t it kind of… you know, expensive?”

“Oh, don’t worry about that. I can easily afford it. Go on, try it on.”

Very slowly, Hekate accepted the fine dress being offered by Thessalia and walked behind the screen. Awkwardly, she just turned the dress around in her hands not even planning to change. What’s she up to this time? I couldn’t possibly strut around in something like this.

“You’re taking too long!” Vanessa exclaimed with a grin as she pointed at the screen, “Telekinesis.”

Hekate’s plain black dress appeared into Vanessa’s hand and a loud scream of surprise from behind the screen was heard. “That’s not fair!”

“Oh, I know…” Vanessa answered, smiling smugly. Soon enough, Hekate shyly peeked from the edge of the screen. Bolden enough by Vanessa’s encouraging smile, she stepped out to be seen properly.

“It looks amazing on you, miss!” Thessalia said with a broad smile. Hekate’s already blushed cheeks only became brighter. Before Vanessa’s admiring gaze she trembled, grasping a nearby pillar for support. “I agree, you’re too cute for words.”

“B-but, isn’t it a bit… revealing?” Hekate asked quietly, staring down at her own cleavage. She barely noticed as Vanessa walked up to her and placed her hands on her shoulders.

“I don’t like it when you leave so much to the imagination, dear,” Vanessa whispered to her.

Nodding faintly, Hekate just couldn’t stop staring down at the floor. She even turned herself a little away from Thessalia and Vanessa, as if she was ashamed. She opened her mouth to speak, but Vanessa was faster. She quickly turned to Thessalia, her raven black hair dancing in the air before descending back on her shoulders, “We’ll take it!”

“W-what?! Vanessa, I can’t-..” Hekate replied hastily, only to be interrupted.

“Hush now, I told you I’ll pay for it, didn’t I?” Vanessa whispered, smiling.

Thessalia nodded, “That’ll be 4,500.”

Hekate’s jaw dropped, “Nonononononono, Iwillnotacceptagiftthisexpensi-“

“Hekate.”

“Yes?”

“Shut up!” Vanessa exclaimed with a loud giggle, walking over to Thessalia and handing her a small pouch of coins. “Let’s make it 5,000, I’m feeling generous today.”

“Thank you very much, Lady Stillwind.”

Once the two women had walked outside of the shop, Vanessa looked around while Hekate was unwillingly receiving all the male attention. “Vanessa… why did you buy this to me?”

“Because you look gorgeous in it, isn’t that reason enough?” Vanessa answered, peering at the neatly folded black dress in her hand.

“But, but…” Hekate whimpered in embarrassment, “Everyone’s… looking…”

Vanessa giggles softly as she threw the dress over her shoulder and hugged her angel tightly, “Exactly, my love. You’re too shy. Take in all the attention, make me proud. I want people to see just who my wonderful angel is. This black dress of yours is too concealing,” she whispered to Hekate’s ear before gently kissing her on the cheek. With that, she fondled her rune pouch and frowned. She grabbed Hekate by the wrist and began running towards the bank.

“Wh-where’re you taking me? Vanessa?”

“Just some restocking before our next journey, my dear Hekate.”

“Eh?” Hekate blinked in confusion.

Vanessa smiled sweetly.

“I have something to show you…”

Part VII: Escaping from reality – part two

Two delicious meals, unknown hours of random shopping and forty-two casual, loving kisses in a dark alley later, Hekate and Vanessa came across a nobly dressed lady. She was sitting on a bench, twirling her long, chestnut brown hair while watching a young boy, roughly twelve or thirteen years old, watch the wares of a blacksmith. He appeared particularly interested in the longswords. Hekate eyes both the woman and the boy, who was seemingly her son. Just where have I seen those two before? The boy looked over his shoulder and blinked. Some seconds later, he ran to Hekate and hugged her tightly. The woman winced a little at such behaviour, eyeing Hekate in confusion.

“Pretty missus! It’s pretty missus!” the boy exclaimed with laughter, tightening his hold. Hekate raised both eyebrows, looking down at the boy whose arms were tightly wrapped around her waist.

“And who might this young man be?” Vanessa asked, looking somewhat amused.

Hekate peered at Vanessa, then at the boy, and then at the woman rising from the bench. The woman gently stroked her brown hair out of the way and walked to the three. She smiled, “Dragonslayer Stormsword, what a pleasure to see you again. It’s been a while.”

Hekate nodded slowly as random memories from that time streamed through her mind, “… Victoria?” Then he looked down at the boy, “… Del?”

Both nodded. As Del let go of Hekate, took a little distance and eyes her, his eyes widened. “Pretty missus has very nice dress!”

Hekate scratched the back of her head, a little colour appearing on her cheeks, “Umm, thank you, Del.”

Victoria giggled, “Del here has been very interested in knights and warriors of all kind ever since he met you. He has taken a particular interest in female knights. Could you tell Lady Dragonslayer the reason, honey?”

Hekate frowned slightly, “I’m not a dra-..”

“Because…” Del started, interrupting Hekate, “They’re… but- beut- beat- beaute- beautiful, just like pretty missus.” He explained in a highly embarrassed tone.

Vanessa smiled, “That’s right, she is beautiful.” She walked to Hekate and hugged her from behind, “Aren’t you, Hekate? Aren’t you a pretty little dragonslayer?” She went speechless, there was no point trying to argue. “I’ll take that as a ‘Yes’,” Vanessa said with a giggle, gently moving her arms down to Hekate’s waist and tightening her hold. “All mine, too,” she whispered to her ear.

All Hekate could do at that moment was what she does best when flattered: blush brightly.

“So, I suppose you’ve taken your distance to dragonslaying, considering how much you said you disliked it back then.” Vanessa listened eagerly as she cuddled up against Hekate, resting her head on her right shoulder.

“Well, yes… umm… hey, have you met my good friend Vanessa?” Hekate asked, obviously avoiding the subject.

Victoria glanced at Vanessa, “Stillwind, I presume? I’ve heard the stories, but never had the honour of meeting you in person.”

Vanessa curtsied graciously before Victoria, “The pleasure is mine, miss... ehm…”

“Victoria, Victoria Lin’a’zir. And as you can see, here’s my son Del.” The boy waved shyly at Vanessa, who nodded politely in return.

“Well, it’s about time for us to leave. My husband should be closing his stall soon.” Victoria nodded politely at the two before walking off beckoning Del over, “Come on, Del. Time to go.”

“Hope to see pretty missus again soon!” Del said hastily before running after his mother.

”So, where have you met those two before?” Vanessa asked as soon as Victoria and Del were out of sight.

“Back when I did the single most stupid thing I’ve ever done. Miss Lin’a’zir helped me out when I was on my way back.” Hekate sighed faintly, clearly uncomfortable with the topic. “By the way, you told me you had something to show me quite the while ago. Any idea when you’ll be showing me what it is?”

Vanessa cuddled up against her loved one, “I’m so glad you asked.”

“Does that mea-AIEEE!” Hekate vanished into thin air and Vanessa followed suit. Maybe I should warn her first next time I ‘port her somewhere… naah.

An unknown location in the known world, some 0.4 seconds later.

Instinctively, Hekate jumped for cover with a loud meep. She peeked over the stone she was hiding behind and saw what looked like steaming ponds. Soon, Vanessa appeared to the scene in a puff of pink smoke. She giggled, “I should use that one more often.”

“Don’t do that again!” Hekate yelled at her, looking at her over the stone with a pout.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I thought there wouldn’t be a problem since few others know about the existence of this place.”

Hekate looked around. Indeed, there was no one else than her and Vanessa. “So-umm… where are we?”

“I like to call these my own private hot springs. The other ones that people know of are under ogre control, no way I could relax there. Have you ever been in one of these?”

“Hot springs? The what now? Of course I haven’t, I don’t even know what they are.”

“Well, what are you waiting for? Get in and enjoy yourself!”

As Hekate turned back to Vanessa she noticed that she was already lying in one of the hot springs, her dress neatly folded on the edge. She slowly walked to the edge and peered into the steaming water. “Umm, what’s the point of this?”

“The point is that you’ll take off that nice dress I bought you and get in here with me.” Vanessa explained very slowly, as if she was speaking to a three year old.

“But Vanessa..:” Hekate started to argue, but was interrupted by Vanessa pointing a finger at her.

“Te… le… ki… ne…”

”Okay okay! You convinced me!” Hekate yelped, carefully undressing the expensive silk dress. As she slowly descended into the hot water. Vanessa smiled smugly, “Now, that wasn’t as hard as it seemed, was it?”

“N-no… I guess…” Hekate mumbled, a bright blush emanating from her cheeks. Smiling, Vanessa grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer. Moving the younger woman in front of her, she placed her hands on her shoulders.

“You’re so tense, love. You need to learn to relax and enjoy yourself. Tell me, when was the last time you took a bath just for the sake of bathing? When was the last time you walked around in the city just to kill time?”

“Uhm… I don’t think I’ve ever…”

“Exactly. Let me take care of everything.” With that, Vanessa slowly began massaging Hekate’s shoulders. Her eyes widened, then head dropped and she let out a relaxed sigh. Pleased by the reaction, Vanessa continued. Hekate slowly closed her eyes as the feeling of relaxation spread throughout her body, everything from her breathing to her very heartbeats slowing down dramatically. “Better?” Vanessa asked shortly, leaning in to plant a gentle kiss in her angel’s hair. Flawless…

Hekate hummed in enjoyment as a response, causing what followed. Vanessa moved a little lower, gently pushing Hekate a little to give her more space. A faint moan escaped her lips, to which Vanessa could only smile. It was almost a shame that she was nearly done. Guess I’ll have to improvise. Gently pressing her loved one’s lower back a couple of times, Vanessa giggled at the quick plan she made.

She stopped. As Hekate slowly rose, looked over her shoulder at Vanessa and opened her mouth to say a few words of gratitude and love, Vanessa wrapped her arms around her and took firm hold of her breasts. “You think I’m done already?” she asked with a giggle, “Think again.”

“Nyu?” Hekate whimpered in surprise, but wasn’t obviously resisting. Never has Vanessa seen her cheeks so red, they were nearly glowing. Not giving her a chance to speak further, Vanessa leaned in for a kiss. The moment was perfect. Two lovers freed from all restraints and hot springs, what more could they ask for? Once more they could fall into each other’s embrace and visit paradise together. Once more they could make love and truly express their feelings.

Perhaps more should not be said about what happened then, dear reader. Leave a tender moment alone…

Part VIII: The obscure line between reality and dream

Hekate opened her eyes and witnessed a familiar sight. Most likely, she’d never get used to it. A young woman slept in her bed. Older than herself, but still young. She was beautiful, so beautiful that she had once mistaken her for a goddess. These two confessed many days ago, but it was still hard to believe. How was it possible for such strong feelings to exist between two women? They were everything to each other, and especially after what happened last night, there were no secrets between them. It was a Sunday, so this unusual couple could still be together for a long while. Now that she thought about it, they were nearly the exact opposites of each other. She was blonde while Vanessa’s hair was raven black. She preferred wearing black while Vanessa wore white. She was a poor blacksmith’s daughter while Vanessa was a noblewoman, a sorceress at that. She was slightly muscular and physically strong, while Vanessa had a mind equally strong.

Interrupting Hekate’s thoughts, Vanessa giggled a little in her sleep, mumbling. “Do that thing with your tongue again… that’s my favourite…”

A hint of red appeared on her cheeks before she returned to her peaceful slumber, smiling sweetly. Oh, how cute she was. Giggling to herself, Hekate put her arms around Vanessa and closed her eyes, falling asleep again.

Some minutes later the two women were tied down and dragged down the road. Both whimpered and tried to get off, but the bonds were too strong. What’s happening? What’s going on?

“Sinners will burn!” a man, apparently a priest of some sort, yelled as he led the mob dragging the two women. Vanessa cried, desperately fighting the strong ropes. It came to her. All of this was indeed too good to be true, the public would catch them sooner or later…

They violently threw Hekate on the ground and dragged the struggling Vanessa to the gallows pole. As two muscular men held her still, the priest placed the rope around her neck. There, she could only watch. Hekate was also held down, a man pulling his pants down. She kicked and screamed, but her struggling was in vain. “May Saradomin have mercy on your soul, sinner,” the priest murmured before pulling the lever. Vanessa’s neck didn’t break even though it was a somewhat long fall. There she was, hanging by her neck, naked and bound. As the rope slowly strangled her, she could only witness as men fought over who would get to rape her angel next. Tears blurred her vision, and soon everything faded. The sight, the sounds of Hekate struggling and screaming in agony, the scent of blood that surrounded the gallows…

Everything faded to black…

Darkness…

“Wake up! Vanessa! Wake up! WAKE UP!”

Vanessa’s eyes tore open as she was shaken in a somewhat violent manner, a blurred vision of Hekate appearing in her eyes. She was covered in cold sweat and hyperventilating, tears flooding down her cheeks and her heart racing. She could only cry, cry until she couldn’t do even that much. A feeling of safety lingered into her mind as Hekate wrapped her arms around her, holding her tightly in her arms. Nonetheless, the idea of what she just saw really happening didn’t leave her alone. Seeking for soothing to her pain, she pressed her face against her angel’s shoulder and wept.

“Hush, dear. Hush hush… it was just a bad dream…” Hekate whispered in her ear, gently stroking her hair. Even as she was gently rocked back and forth in this embrace, the only sign of calming was in her breathing. Even though the hyperventilating stopped quickly, she could still barely control her breathing. For what could have been hours, she just wept on her angel’s shoulder, taking in her attempts to soothe her. Hekate kept asking her about what was wrong, but all her answers were just unclear whimpering.

Knowing of nothing else to do, Hekate simply embraced her, rocking her back and forth and hushing quietly every now and then. It was as if she was trying to calm a baby. Vanessa sunk, her head finding its way to the most comfortable place it knew: between Hekate’s soft, motherly breasts. Hekate stroked her hair, the weeping quieting down very slowly. It quieted, but didn’t stop. Merely demoted from uncontrolled crying to silent sobbing.

“What happened? Vanessa?” Hekate asked for what could have been the 100th time already, looking down at her with a worried expression. Vanessa shook her head, sobbing. Sighing, Hekate just held her. It was strange. Hekate would’ve never reacted so strongly to a nightmare, why would Vanessa? What did she exactly see to become so upset? Hekate wanted to know, she really did. But seeing that Vanessa didn’t want to share it, it was difficult. Truly, it must have been something dreadful. So strongly she was clung to her, so direly she sought for safety and protection in her angel’s hands. The more Hekate granted her, the more she desired.

Once more, she sobbed. To Hekate it was almost arousing. Her loved one resting her head on her bosom, refusing to let go. If she only wasn’t crying, the situation would’ve been a major turn-on. Her thoughts were interrupted as she felt something delightful. Vanessa had stopped crying, and as Hekate looked down to see her loved one’s lips wrapped around her nipple. Now I’m feeding her? What’s up with her?

Pondering her options, Hekate stroked her love’s hair. So they remained for what could have been, and probably was, hours.

“Hekate… never leave me.” Vanessa whispered, resting her head on Hekate’s chest.

“I won’t, Vanessa.” Hekate smiled faintly as she stroked her hair again, “I won’t.”

“Promise?” Vanessa asked, looking up with begging brown puppy eyes. There were no words to describe how cute she was.

“Yes, my cherished. I promise.” Hekate gently cupped her face in her hands, and she leaned in to her kiss and seemed anchored to it. They relished the tenderness of one another for a long, lingering moment, before Vanessa’s smile faded. Reluctantly, she broke away from her angel’s embrace and sought for her clothes. “I… I have to clear my mind a little. I’m sorry,” she said quietly as she headed for the door.

Hekate stayed inside the room for a moment longer, absorbing the lavender ghost of her goddess’ scent, troubled by her visions. She could not help her thoughts, could not help her primal fear that something was eating the mind of the one she loves so.

Soon, she was darting around the room in search for clothing aswell. She headed downstairs and outside the house. She had to find something to do, otherwise her worrying would drive her mad. Vanessa wished to be alone, and she forced herself to respect that. Even though she was sure everything would be all right, her fear overcame her reason.

And even if it was mere minutes, she already missed her.

Part IX: Diary of a Windweaver

The following text is from the diary of Vanessa Esmeralda Stillwind

Monday, 8th of June
Why did I run away? Am I a coward? I still don’t know why I left when I wanted to stay. She must be worried. I probably should go back to her, but something holds me. Am I afraid? What am I afraid of? Losing her? No, that’s not it. It was just a nightmare. Still, the idea of what I witnessed really happening won’t leave me be. The two of us, torn apart in the most violent of manners. It pains me to think about it, but I can’t control myself. I want to go back and forget myself in my angel’s arms. I want her to soothe my pain, to grant me the comfort I now long for. I want her to reveal me, to satisfy me… I want to be selfish.

Today, I couldn’t do so. It’s been a busy day. Spell demonstrations, arguments on various schools of magic, updating outdated information in the library and avoiding that bastard Ragefire. It’s difficult to work with the area so many magisters claim to be the weakest school of all. Ignorant fools, the whole lot of them. Calling someone an airhead in an argument is not exactly a sign of intelligence if one asks me. Nor is underestimating my capabilities. I do hope they will one day learn the true power of wind sorcery. Sometimes proving the other families, especially the Ragefires, that wind can be used very creatively is a burden indeed.

But that is not what concerns me right now. Instead, my mind is focused on my cherished Hekate. What would happen if I lost her? Why did I leave her side when she sought to comfort me? I don’t want her to feel incompetent nor do I want her to worry. She must be mad at me now. I’m sure she doesn’t want to see me now. She must be disappointed at me for being selfish and weak.

I can’t find the words to describe how ashamed of myself I currently am. I hide in my office writing about what I feel when I should find my divine lover and express it.

As a matter of fact, I will!

Tuesday, 9th of June
It’s strange how big a relief it is to know one is forgiven. I was sure I would be told off for walking away, for my cowardly acts. Of course, there was a day of work before I was able to return to my dearest. It was a somewhat boring day at work, I had to translate arcane runes all day. There was one particularly interesting part though, which thoroughly explained how no one cares about anything these days. The whole article was named “Nobody Cares”, I found it quite amusing to translate. My favourite part was “There was some war between some gods, but nobody really gives a rat’s behind.”

Anyway, today I finally found the courage to face my angel and look up to her once more. I expected to be scolded, to be shamed for walking away from her, but no. All she did was ask me if I was allright. Then she opened her arms, inviting me. I hesitated. I wasn’t sure if I deserved such at that moment. Nevertheless, I approached. She enclosed me into her embrace and I felt safe. Without a word, she held me. So divine, so beautiful, so loving and so protective. Without a shadow of doubt, she must be an angel. I slowly realised that I would always be welcome to enter her loving embrace, I could always feel free to return to her. Hekate Stormsword is truly an amazing woman.

The words she whispered in my ear were knee weakening, the warmth of her body soothing and the way she slid her hand down my back arousing. I wanted her. I wanted to selfishly take her, to do as I see fit with her. She wouldn’t resist me, she would return my feelings and satisfy my humble desires. I remained in her embrace until she gently guided me to look up into her seductive eyes. I was lost in her gaze, and shortly felt myself ascending. She stroked my cheek and smiled in an inviting, almost taunting manner. I leaned in, and so did she. As our lips met I felt Hekate’s hands slide down onto my bum. A gentle squeeze, and I melted in her arms. I didn’t take her. Instead, she took me. Those strong arms, they could hold me safe from anything. Those muscles… they sometimes make me wonder what men are good for anyway.

My feet lifted from the ground, and I was at her mercy. She carried me to her home like a husband would carry his wife after a wedding.

As soon as we reached the bedroom… I think I’ll keep that a secret.

Wednesday, 10th of June
Everything is wonderful! I am forgiven, I am loved, I am utterly satisfied. There is nothing that would worry me or bring me down right now. As rare as it is, I even enjoyed work today. Even though it was mostly boring translation, I just couldn’t stop smiling. Ragefire keeps wondering why I’m so cheerful. He probably hasn’t experienced what I have yet. I don’t think I can find the right words to describe the beauty of what happened between my angel and me last night. I reached heaven that night, many times. Each time, my angel asked me if I wanted to be taken again, and each time I said yes. She must really enjoy it when I whimper her name in enjoyment, “Hekate…” Every time I do, she does something new and exciting. She didn’t stop before I was just lying there, gasping and throbbing, trying to catch my breath. Once more she asked me if I wished to be taken again but I didn’t answer… I tried but couldn’t.

It’s strange how a woman can satisfy another woman so utterly. From all of this, I gained confidence. Confidence to love without remorse, sod the consequences. All I want is to return to Hekate. Should we be caught I care not, for I am the Windweaver. I will escape with her, should things go wrong.

I do wonder if she is thinking what I am thinking. Is there any place in the world where a woman could marry another? Is there any place with people open minded enough for such? If so, that is where I wish to be. She is the one for me, and if possible, I want to marry her.

But now, I will be on my way. My divine lover satisfied me, now it is my turn to return the favour.

Part X: I need you, they’re coming to take you away…

“A lass, huh? Never thought you’d swing that way, ‘Kate.”

Stu Proudblade took a swig from his pint, glancing at the woman in front of him. She nodded, her golden hair swaying gently. He smiled to himself. Even though it was nothing more than a friendship, he felt very lucky to be the friend of a beautiful woman like Hekate Stormsword. Once or twice he had tried, but was eventually turned down in a subtle manner each time. He didn’t deny the fact that he liked her, but he knew it would never happen. Even more so with the news he just heard.

“You might find it strange, but that’s how it is. I can’t help myself.” Hekate answered, smiling faintly.

“You know what they say about love, girl. Boundaries mean nothing, as long as it’s true.”

“I know,” Hekate said, glancing to the street from the narrow alley where the furtive conversation took place. It was probably not wise, but Hekate felt that she could safely share the information about her love life with Stu. They had been, afterall, friends since childhood. “Right now she’s worried about something and I can’t figure it out no matter how hard I try. I feel ashamed for that, ashamed and incompetent. What should I do?”

“Ask her.”

“You think I haven’t done that already? She tells me nothing.”

Stu took a small note from his pocket and handed it to Hekate, “Read that until you know it by heart. Say that to her, I doubt you need to ask her anything afterwards.”

Raising an eyebrow, Hekate opened and read the note. It appeared to be a love letter of some sort.

“Tried that on a few ladies. It works, trust me.” Stu said with a wink as Hekate folded the note and hid it somewhere underneath her dress.

“It’s a shame our breaks are so short, I’d love to stay and talk a while longer. It’s been so long since we last met, ‘Kate.”

With that, Stu grabbed his helmet and walked into the busy street. Hekate hummed thoughtfully as she finished her coffee before grabbing her pick and walking into the mines once more.

On her next break she read the note a few times. Fairly interesting, I think I’ll give it a try. Some hours later another day of work was over, and Hekate could return home.

“Hi there, mom. Seen Vanessa anywhere?”

“Nope,” Gicciolina answered hastily as she turned a page on the book she was reading. She was wearing a towel and her hair was still dripping with water, which could only mean one thing. Hekate nodded and marched into the bathroom. As she freed herself from the restraining confinements of clothing, she entered the bath. Thanks to her experience at the hot springs, she found baths a lot more enjoyable. Sometimes she spent nearly two hours simply enjoying herself, or until she was told to get out because others needed to bathe aswell. The sponge, so familiar and soft, once again caressed her. She remembered how Vanessa had gently turned her away from herself and taken her from behind. Simulating her memory, she moved the sponge downwards and gently pressed her own breast. The warm touch, the soft lips wrapped around her nipple, the gentle squeeze of her bosom… Hekate could only whimper out in pleasure as she touched herself while the wonderful memories streamed before her eyes. She gasped. She once more whimpered softly and her heart raced. The further she continued the more she desired. “Vanessa…” she whispered into the air before a soft moan sneakily escaped her lips. I’m such a dirty woman. More, more, she only wanted more. And more is what she gave herself. Another moan, she felt herself slowly reaching her destination. More. Just a little more…

She raised a hand from her breast over her mouth, muffling her moans as she reached a wonderful climax of utter pleasure. With that, she sunk deeper into the tub, panting heavily, hearing the drumming of her throbbing heart. Okay, girl. Fun’s over. Exhausted, she slowly rose from the tub and grabbed a towel. After hastily drying herself, she wrapped the large towel around herself. Took her clothes and started to walk towards her room.

“Was it fun?” Gicciolina asked with a grin as she walked past.

Hekate stopped to her tracks and turned to her, “What?”

“Honey, I’m not deaf.”

Never before has Hekate blushed so brightly so quickly. “Mom, I, uhh…”

Her mother giggled, ”Honey, you have nothing to be embarrassed about.”

“I… think I’ll go out for a while.” Hekate mumbled as she walked into her room to get dressed.

“Have fun!”

Embarrassed, Hekate walked out into the busy streets.

Meanwhile

“Aren’t you gonna call it a day, Stillwind?” Hlaine asked as he stopped by Vanessa’s office on his way out.

Vanessa’s gaze lifted from the old scroll to the man leaning against the opened door, “Yeah, once I get this one sorted. Why?”

“Just thought if you’d like to go for a drink or something.”

“And why would I do such a thing with you, Ragefire?” Vanessa asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Oh, come on! Everyone knows you fancy me, darling,” the red haired man answered with a smug smile as he entered the office, closing the door behind him. Vanessa rolled her eyes and focused on the scroll again. Not too many sentences later Hlaine was leaning against her desk, eyeing Vanessa’s figure in admiration.

“Now who’s fancying who? Go away, I’m not in the mood for that right now.” Vanessa stated, waving her hand dismissively at the man.

Hlaine frowned, “Seriously, Stillwind… you’re not a little girl anymore. Running away from guys to play house with other girls is a thing of the past for you. Besides…” He reached out a hand and held Vanessa by the chin. He gently guided her to look up at him only to meet a venomous glare.

“Hands off, now,” the woman said in a calm, yet commanding manner. He didn’t obey. “Why the hate, Vanessa dear? Can’t you see how the two of us are meant to be together? Just think about it, what wonderful things a marriage between a Ragefire and a Stillwind would cause…”

“As you wish,” Vanessa said as she gently swung her hand and the door opened. She then placed a hand on Hlaine’s chest and a strong blast of air threw him out of the office. “Any questions? No? Good.” She waved a hand dismissively, the door slamming shut. Shaking her head, Vanessa continued studying the scroll. Though, it’s not like she really needed to study something she already knows, she just needed an excuse to daydream. A dreamy sigh escaped her lips. My wonderful Hekate…

An hour or so later she left the office only to find Hlaine still lying on the floor in the corridor, unconscious. Shrugging, she kept walking. On her way she noticed a very official looking poster and stopped to read it. Her eyes widened. Why? Why now? She read further about the time. Leaving tonight, this is bad…

Sighing, she marched back to her office…

Somewhere in Falador, some minutes later

“Tell me, Stu… why’re the magisters gathering around at the gate?” Hekate asked, nodding towards the gate where a lot of men and women in robes were gathered, discussing something.

“They were called to aid for something, but they didn’t tell me any details.” Stu answered, peering at the group. “Is one of those that girl of yours?”

“I sure hope not! I’ll be right back!”

Stu looked over her shoulder only to notice Hekate running off. He turned back to see a woman in a bright white robe walk towards the other magisters. The robe was obviously one designed for battle, both the skirt and the cloak attached to it covered in various arcane runes. There was a thick, yet lightweight looking staff hanging over her back. The robes looked heavy, and the thick shoulderpads and gloves only added to the effect. Her raven black hair danced in the wind as she walked past the group of magi and leaned against the gateway, looking annoyed. Stu hummed thoughtfully. Must be her.

Soon, he heard running steps behind him. Hekate was back, now in a different outfit. Stu turned to her and couldn’t help staring. “Whoa, ‘Kate… you look amazing.”

“Thanks,” Hekate answered hastily as she straightened the skirt of her purple dress and walked towards the lone sorceress.

“Vanessa! What’s going on in here?!” she exclaimed at her. Vanessa winced before turning around. As soon as she recognised Hekate, her head sunk. “I’m sorry, I’m… summoned.”

“To what?”

Vanessa lowered her voice, “I shouldn’t be telling this to you, but something’s stirred up in the Wilderness. The creatures there seem to be organising, which is highly unusual. They might even have some sort of a hierarchy. We’re supposed to aid in finding out what’s causing it and probably neutralise the threat. I’m sorry, my love… I would stay if I could, but I’d be considered a deserter if I did. I will be back as soon as I can.”

Hekate frowned, “I see… still, did you really think I’d let you leave without a suitable goodbye?” She slowly wrapped one arm around Vanessa’s waist while stroking her hair with the other.

Vanessa blushed, “Hekate, there’s people watching…”

“See if I give a damn,” Hekate answered before leaning in for an extremely sensual, fiery kiss. Vanessa gave up quickly, and they embraced and kissed more passionately than they had in their nights of furtive lovemaking. Both reluctant, the kiss was slowly broken. They both feared that the crowd would jump on them, but they were just shrugging, as they were in an angle where no one saw the kiss. They thought it was just a friendly hug. Lucky…

”Interesting, ’Kate.Very interesting indeed,” Stu stated, smiling faintly. Frightened, Vanessa extended an arm towards him, a faint white glow appearing to embrace her fingers in an instant. Just as quickly, Hekate grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her arm down. “He knows, Vanessa. We can trust him.”

Stu nodded, “Your secret is safe with me, Lady Stillwind.” He did a hasty salute and walked off. “You probably need to be by yourselves, ladies.”

Hekate nodded before turning back to Vanessa. She pulled a dagger from her right sleeve, then another from her left one. She offered them to Vanessa, “Make your choice. You’re taking one of these with you, and I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

Vanessa raised an eyebrow, “Hekate, what would I do with a…”

“What wouldn’t you do with a knife?! Trust me, there are countless situations where you need one, especially in the Wilderness.”

Vanessa eyed the two blades. Both were made of runite, and both had the Stormsword seal on the blade. Sighing, she took the one Hekate pulled from her right sleeve. She remembered that the one in her left sleeve was her own, surely she didn’t wish to claim that from her.

With that, Hekate sheathed the remaining knife and pulled what looked like some sort of a sheath from her right sleeve. “Put that around your wrist and conceal it. Use it only when you have to in battle, the element of surprise is a strong ally.” Vanessa nodded quickly as she rolled up her left sleeve and started wrapping the sheath around the wrist.

“I’m worried, my love. When will you return?” Hekate asked after a while, trying to hide a small tear running down her cheek.

Vanessa gently leaned in and wiped the tear off, “Soon, Hekate. Soon. I’ll be back in an instant when we’re allowed to return. I’m sorry for this, dear, but I’m not in a stature high enough to refuse.”

Hekate nodded slowly, “Be safe, Vanessa. Avoid everything large. Especially the daemons, they’re nasty beings, I should know, I’ve met some.”

Vanessa smiled faintly, enclosing her angel in a tight hug, which she wasn’t shy to return. “I love you…” Hekate whispered in her ear, gently stroking her hair.

“You’re my everything,” Vanessa whispered back.

“It’s time.” An old looking man announced, and the group of magi, along with Vanessa, faded away in a group teleport. “Wait for me, my love.” Softly echoed in the wind that breezed through Hekate’s golden hair. She turned around and walked back into the streets. She didn’t look back, trying to be brave. Nonetheless, her courage faltered half way home and she fell into tears.

Sobbing, she entered her house and walked into her room. Horrid images filled her mind. She couldn’t help her primitive fear for her loved one. Sobbing, she sat down on her bed and tried to clear her thoughts with little to no success. She didn’t notice her mother opening the door and looking worriedly at her.

“Hekate… what’s the matter?” Gicciolina asked, sitting down next to her and putting a hand on her shoulder.

With a weepy voice, she answered. “Vanessa… she was… called, and… the Wilderness… I…”

Gicciolina enclosed her daughter in a comforting hug, gently rocking her back and forth. “There, there… Vanessa can take care of herself, dear. It’s probably not as bad as you think.” Hekate nodded a little and calmed down. Her words didn’t really help her fears, but strengthened her resolve. She gently pushed herself away from her mother’s embrace. “I still fear for the worst, mom. I can’t help it.”

With that, she slowly started crying again. Her mother sighed softly, “You probably need to be by yourself for a while. If you want to talk about it, you know where you can find me.” A brief nod from Hekate, and she was out. Hekate, fearstruck, slowly fell on the bed and cried herself to sleep.

At the same time, on the edge of the Wilderness in a sleeping bag, so did Vanessa.

Part XI: Worry not, my beautiful angel.

Vanessa groaned in frustration as another ashy footprint vanished right before her eyes. Three days. For three days she has been out there, in the Wilderness. Barely sleeping, eating travel rations comparable to munching on a twig, doing investigations that didn’t seem to have a purpose. Needless to say, she wanted out of there as soon as possible. She was tense. She was restless. She was tired.

“Oi, Stillwind! Find anything?” Hlaine asked her as she studied another footprint that soon was blown off by the winds.

“Footprints, probably from hobgoblins. And whatever they used to burn this area was without a doubt something magical… they must have a strong minded individual with them.” She answered, muttering under her breath afterwards, “Why does that macho idiot have to be here too?”

Why were they studying footprints anyway? Think there’d be better things to do for fully qualified magisters than looking for some daft hobgoblins. Vanessa sighed as she sat down on a tree stump. “This is going bloody nowhere,” she thought out loud, “We should just go home.”

“Shut up and keep looking, Stillwind!” an elderly man in dark blue robes yelled, peering at her.

“Honestly, Floodriver, what’s the use of all this anyway? We’re doing the job of regular rangers here. We should either head further north to see what’s really going on or just go home. Preferably the latter.” Vanessa said sternly,

He hummed, “You have a good point, but orders are orders. Now quit being a rebel and get back to work, we can all go home sooner if everyone does their best.”

Vanessa rolled her eyes, “Aye aye…”

Meanwhile, back in the city

“NO!”

Hekate opened her eyes, lying motionlessly in her bed with a frightened expression. She wiped her brow, discovering the cold sweat she was covered in. Another nightmare. Without a word she dressed up. Blank, empty, good for nothing. Those were few of the ways she felt about herself now that her companion wasn’t there. It pained her very soul beyond measure to know that her loved one was in the north, potentially in danger, and there was nothing she could do to help.

She didn’t even have any breakfast before heading into the mines to begin another day at work. Reluctantly she walked into a free spot with a visible vein. She raised her pick, and realized something. She needed something to channel her feelings to, and her appearing to work gave her just that. All her feeling of uselessness, all her frustration, all her anger and all her sadness.

Yes… by Guthix, those rocks were about to experience just that.

Back in the Wilderness

“Hekate… you must be worried. Please forgive me...”

Vanessa whispered words of longing and love, into the wind. If only they would reach the person whose warmth she longed for. Many hours had passed and nothing had been found. More and more people were agreeing with her: they should just group up and teleport home. Frowning, she glanced at the ground. Footprints, both from hobgoblins and of her group. It would lead them nowhere. She was leaning against a dead tree, peering into the distance. She recognised something, which greatly alarmed her. A wave, a red wave of creatures. She turned around and announced what she saw: “Daemons! Lots of them, coming this way!”

With this she stepped forward and extended a hand towards the arriving daemon rush. Her hand was soon lowered by Hlaine. He shook his head, “You shouldn’t. We’re no match for such an assault, we should escape.”

“Bullshit!” was Vanessa’s angered response, and soon a few in the group were standing in line both at her left and right. She smiled. About time I get to let off some steam. Staves, blades and open hands alike were pointed at the dreadful red wave. Everyone knew that ordinary spells wouldn’t work against such creatures, they would have to improvise.

“You know what you get with one of each element and a couple of soul runes, Ragefire?” Vanessa asked with a smug grin, allowing herself to ascent a few feet from the ground.

“No, what?”

Vanessa crossed her arms across her chest, turned straight forward before closing her eyes and spoke, “Power Infusion.”
A white glow surrounded the young sorceress, sparks and even small lighting crackling away from her person. She opened her eyes, a bright white glow surrounding them aswell. Smiling, she extended her arms towards the daemons. They were close, just close enough for her little surprise.

“Bladestorm!”

Glowing, white, spear-like objects were conjured and soon slicing right through the ranks of the daemon mass. Not that it was enough to wipe them all out, it was nowhere near that. Perhaps a total of five percent was taken out by Vanessa’s spell. Nonetheless, it pleased her. Whatever got into the way of those spears was utterly annihilated, there was no way any creature without magical resistances high enough would survive such a powerful pinpoint strike. She heard a comrade infuse himself, after which another specialist spell was to be thrown into the mass.

“Floodstrike!”

Water. Lots and lots of conjured water fell upon the daemons. The ground was somewhat flat, and not too many daemons drowned before the humongous watery cube had descended to a harmless state. The following stream, however, took and kept many down. It tired them, making them easier targets for more spells with an area of effect. Smiling, Vanessa threw in another Bladestorm while Hlaine chuckled lightly.

“I guess I’ll give it a try too,” he said with a smile as he extended a hand towards the stumbling, immobile daemons. A fiery orange blaze appearing around her hand, he spoke, “Sweeping Flames!”

Vanessa smiled, descending while the effect of the power infusion wore off of her. Spells of the fire school were known to be among the best as offensive. Pleased, she watched fiery scythes swipe through the struggling daemons, conflagrating them. That alone was enough to wipe out a third of the remaining attackers. “Ragefire, do that again!” she cheerfully yelled at him.

Smiling at the fact that he had actually impressed Vanessa (or well, thinking that he did), Hlaine nodded. “Yes ma’am,” he answered before taking a step forward. Now extending both arms towards the pack he spoke once more, “Firewing!”

Vanessa giggled playfully. That should even the odds a little.

Falador, sometime that evening.

Hekate rubbed her shoulder and yawned, lying on the bed. She couldn’t sleep. She was too aware of the fact that she would only see more nightmares. Vanessa, screaming in pain, hopelessly struggling against whatever it was Hekate would see that time. Daemons, dragons, undead abominations, everything. Her violent working methods didn’t ease her worries, not one bit. The only outcome of such was that she returned home tired.

Tomorrow, she would probably be too tired to go to work.

Once more in the Wilderness

“Four hundred and seventeen daemons in total? How odd.” Vanessa thought out loud as she peered at the pile of corpses surrounded by wet, yet scorched earth. “What would make them so organised?”

“Screw that, there’s more coming!” Hlaine yelped in horror, pointing to the north.

More, even more. Easily six hundred of them. And now there were some black daemons aswell. Vanessa sighed deeply. This could get ugly… I guess it’s time I did… THAT.

“Power Infusion!”

Once more she started glowing, as she allowed her feet to rise from the ground she connected her hands, closed her eyes and began.

”Spirits of lightning, I call for thee. In great need I ask for thy aid…”

“Stillwind… you’re not going to… oh crap!” Hlaine screamed in fright as he backed off.

Ignoring him, Vanessa continued “Oh spirit of thunder, swift in the sky. Thou who makes the earth and air tremble with your voice! I, thy servant, call upon thy awesome power! Power that crashes, I call upon thee now! Grant me the power to smite down my foes!”

Lightning started crackling in all directions from Vanessa’s person. Smiling, she prepared to finish.

“Arise, Stormfury! Let me harness thy strength! I beg thee!”

Amplification would be the only word to describe what happened then. Dark clouds covered the sky. More lightning, it was as if Vanessa just conjured up a tropical storm. The other magisters backed away as Vanessa extended her arms towards the mob of daemons. Thoughts filled her mind. Thoughts of things she would protect. Protection through annihilation. Falador, the academy, her father, her friends, and finally… her love. With this, her mind entered a state of clarity. The very skies were under her command. With the destructive powers of thunder she would prevail, no matter the cost.

No matter the cost…

“Blazing Skies!”

The following flash and series of lightning strikes and explosions could’ve been seen from the watchtowers of Varrock. Power infused lightning crackled down from the skies and Vanessa’s hands alike, each of them devouring at least ten daemons in a large explosion. Harnessing such power was tiring, and soon the other magisters heard Vanessa panting heavily. Nonetheless she continued, mercilessly pounding everything ahead of herself. Trees, creatures, stones, the very earth itself. A minute or so passed in this showdown of air sorcery, and Vanessa descended. She slumped to her knees, barely being able to breathe. A faint “Awesome…” escaped Hlaine’s lips as he observed. Vanessa, however, was not looking too well.

”Hekate…” she whimpered before falling to the side and losing consciousness, the glow around her slowly fading away.

Hlaine ran to her and raised her up. He couldn’t help staring at the scorched, smoking and lifeless landscape ahead of him. After a while he looked down at the unconscious woman in his arms, “Stillwind, that was… amazing.”

Realising her condition, he quickly walked to the other magisters. “She’s still breathing, but we need to get her out of here, right now. I’ll get her back to Falador, you guys hold the line or follow. The choice is yours."

And with that, he vanished in a teleport.

Part XII: Reunited

Hekate sighed deeply as she grabbed her pickaxe and walked to the door.

“Are you sure you’ll manage?” Gicciolina asked her, leaning against the doorway behind her.

“No… but I suppose I have to, lest I get sacked,” she answered and walked out.

As expected, she was awfully slow in the mines. And she wasn’t getting any quicker either. Her supervisor frowned slightly. “Oi, Stormsword. A word, please,” he requested as he walked to a shaft long ago emptied. Hekate gulped nervously as she followed him.

“Look, Stormsword…” the dwarf started, trying not to look annoyed, “Ye’ve been getting’ slow fer a few days now… wha’s wrong, lass?”

“Well, Brigmi, it’s… I’m worried. Someone important to me is in a dangerous place right now. I can’t sleep and I barely have the appetite to eat anything.”

The dwarf nodded, “If ye were someone else ah’d sack ya, but ye’re… ye’re the Stormsword lass, aye?”

Hekate blinked, quickly kneeling down to the dwarf’s level and looking him into the eye, “What do you mean?”

“Ye’re better at yer work than most o’ tha lads ‘ere. Ah’d be daft ta sack ya. Ya clearly ain’t feelin’ too guid nae, wot day is it?”

”A wednesday, sir.”

“Ah see… take tha rest o‘ tha week oft, allreet? Ya know, clear yer head for a while. ‘ope ya can sort out this ‘ere thingy of yers while ye’re out.”

Hekate blinked again, “But Brigmi…”

“But nuttin, ‘Kate. Ye’re a lass, an’ cause o’ tha’, ya have some downtime ev’ry now an’ then. Anyhoo, ye’re still better than most o’ tha lads. Even when ye’re havin’ that… woman thing ya lasses have every month.”

Nodding, Hekate smiled a little, “Thank you, Brigmi. I really appreciate this.”

Returning the smile, Brigmi nodded in return, “Dun mention it, girl. Now, get goin’ ‘fore I do somethin’ stoopid, like change me mind.”

Hekate was out in an instant. Some minutes later one would find her in the local tavern gulping down another pintfull of stout. Four such pints later, a pair of men in highly decorative robes walked to her.

“Lady Stormsword?”

“Yes, what is it?” Hekate asked as she turned to face the two.

“We have been requested to retrieve you to the academy, would you please follow us?”

Hekate raised an eyebrow, “And what would be the reason of this unexpected summoning?”

“We were told not to inform you, according to Magister Ragefire, you would understand once you’re there.”

“Uh huh… well I don’t really have a reason to refuse. Lead on.”

Without a word the two apparent sorcerers turned around and started walking. Shrugging, Hekate followed, not knowing what to expect. Perhaps they had bad news about Vanessa… no, it couldn’t be that. The mere thought forced her to blink back a tear. Perhaps she was back… perhaps she wasn’t. Thousands of thoughts streamed through her mind each second as she walked behind the two men in robes. She barely noticed them arriving at the academy and entering. Inside, she could only watch in awe at the interior. With widened ayes she looked around, halting to her tracks. Is this really where Vanessa lives? What sort of excessive spender would get something like this built?

One of the two robed men cleared his throat, snapping Hekate back to reality. Shaking her head, she started following the two again. They walked up the stairs, all they way to the highest floor. They stopped at door that was marked with the number 15. One of the men knocked, and what appeared to be a maid soon opened.

“Is this the Stormgirl?” she asked, pointing at Hekate with her whisk. Receiving a nod, the maid beckoned her, “Come on in.”

Inside what appeared to be some sort of better-than-the-average dorm apartment, a man was there, standing next to a bed. Red, spiky hair and red robes with flame-patterns, he appeared to be some sort of fire magister. Hekate wouldn’t know, all she knew was what Vanessa had told her, which is… quite little. She saw a part of his face, and that was more than enough for a first impression… this man must be an arse of some degree.

As the man turned to Hekate, he spoke, “I’ve been expecting y-HOT DAMN!” His eyes widened as he eyed Hekate’s figure, “Bloody hell, that’s just… wow… ehm, anyhow… my name is Hlaine Ragefire, fire sorcery specialist.”

Politely ignoring Hlaine’s admiring gaze, Hekate introduced herself in return, “Hekate Stormsword, apprentice blacksmith. Now, to the point. Why did you summon me here?”

“It came to my knowledge that you would be an acquaintance to Lady Stillwind. Is this true, or do I have the wrong person?”

“Yes, I do know her. Is she here?”

“She is… and at the same time, she isn’t.”

“How about you stop talking in riddles before you even begin, just tell me what’s going on.”

Nodding, Hlaine moved the sheet aside a little. There she was. Vanessa lied there with a calm expression. With one glance, one would guess that she is merely asleep. Hekate stared down at her, paralysed by mixed emotions. Is she dead? Is she alive? What happened?

“She’s been unconscious for nearly two days now. We’ve treated her as well as we could, but her condition doesn’t appear to be improving. We know you aren’t a physician, so you’re probably wondering why we summoned you here. The reason is Lady Stillwind herself. About four hours after I took her here from the Wilderness, she’s been calling your name every few minutes. Since you’re the only one in Falador with such a beautiful name, I figured that she means you.”

“Thanks for the compliment… and well, I am a good friend of Vanessa’s, but I know not why she would call my name. If she wishes me by her side I will be more than happy to grant that, but I require privacy for that.”

Hlaine nodded; “Very well, miss Stormsword. We’ll see if anything happens when you’re here…” With a smug grin, he added, “And later on I could buy you dinner, how’s that sound?” Receiving a swift “No thank you” as a response, he raised an eyebrow. He walked to Hekate and looked down into her eyes. Still smiling, he stroked her cheek, “My lady, I believe you and I would make a nice couple. Hence I am generously offeri-…”

He was interrupted by a punch, right in the left eye. Knocked on his back, he looked up at Hekate shaking her hand and rolling her eyes. “Sorry, I already have someone,” she stated before walking to the bed and looking down at Vanessa. She gave Hlaine a quick glance, “Leave us, please.”

Still a bit shocked, he nodded hastily as he nearly ran out and closed the door “Yes ma’am!”

Humming thoughtfully, Hekate sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at Vanessa. A sleeping beauty, so say the very least. As she stared down at her, Hekate saw Vanessa’s lips moving and heard a soft whisper, “Hekate…”

“Yes, I’m right here,” she responded, knowing that she most likely couldn’t hear her. A small tear ran down her cheek as she gently took Vanessa’s hand. Was she sad? Relieved? Happy? No, she was all of those and more. Biting her lip, she shyly moved in closer to examine her loved one’s facial features. She looked peaceful, so peaceful that it actually soothed Hekate’s worries. A gentle smile appearing on her lips, Hekate stroked Vanessa’s cheek. She looked over her shoulder to reassure that she was indeed alone before slowly sneaking between the sheets and embracing the unconscious woman. She noticed the stains on her clothes, clearly indicating that she fell on the dirt before being taken here. Not caring, she tightened her hug, resting her head on the same pillow as Vanessa.

“Wish you could hear me, love… I’ve missed you,” she whispered, slowly closing her eyes. As she slowly drifted to the good ol’ Memory Lane, she was disturbed.

“Uhm, my lady…” the maid from before said, clearing her throat with flushed cheeks.

“Yes?” Hekate answered, reflectively sitting up in an instant.

“I just came to ask if you’d need anything. Food? Something to drink, perhaps?”

“Well… some food would be nice, but I don’t want to bother you. You probably have more important things to take care of.”

“It’s no trouble, and honorary guests are a high priority. You shouldn’t underestimate yourself, my lady,” the maid said with a broad smile, “Anything specific you would like?”

“As long as it’s meat I’m fine, surprise me.”

“Yes ma’am.”

As the maid stepped back into the corridor and closed the door, Hekate glanced down at Vanessa with a smile. “So this is the way you live, huh?” she asked as she stroked the slumbering woman’s cheek, “Lucky you…”

As soon as her hand lifted from Vanessa’s cheek the door opened, and the maid from before returned with a tray. Smiling broadly, she placed it on Hekate’s lap and lifted the cover, revealing a well-fried chicken accompanied by a loaf of white bread and surrounded by various vegetables. Hekate stared down at the plate, “Just how did you get all of this done so quickly?” The maid giggled a bit before flipping her chestnut brown hair and striking a somewhat flirty pose. “Magic,” she said with a wink before once more walking outside. “Bon appetit, madame.”

Blinking, Hekate slowly picked up the fork and knife neatly placed on the edge of the tray and dug in. It was, without doubt, the most delicious fried bird she had ever tasted. How was it possible to make all of that in less than a minute? Did they simply conjure it up or did they already have the raw materials they cooked with magical means?

Interrupting her thoughts, the maid returned. “Don’t mind me, just cleaning up a little,” she said cheerfully as she drew the whisk magically attached to her belt. Shrugging, Hekate continued with her meal.

Shortly after Hekate was finished, the maid retrieved the plate.“ So… you’re that girl my mistress is dating.”

Shocked, Hekate stared at the maid, “How... do you know about that?”

The maid smiled sweetly, returning the gaze, “It’s allright, sweetie. The secret of you two is safe with me. You should know how important I am to Lady Stillwind.”

Hekate shook her head, “No, she’s never even mentioned you.”

Looking hurt for a second, the maid sighed as she sat down on the edge of the bed, her eyes concentrated on Hekate’s. “Well, I suppose it didn’t matter… As you can probably guess, I’m Vanessa’s personal maid. My name, if you care to know, is Gisella.”

“Nice to meet you, I’m H-…” Hekate answered, only to be interrupted.

“Hekate Stormsword. Yes, I know, Vanessa has told me a lot of things about you. Most of it in form of admiration and praise. She’s really found you to her liking, Lady Stormsword.” Gisella eyed what she saw of Hekate’s body, imagining the rest. She hummed thoughtfully, “I always knew what she was into, but I never thought that she would find another lady that would too. Even if so, not anyone with your looks. It makes me glad to see that she has finally found the one.”

Hekate nodded slowly, not knowing how she exactly should respond to Gisella’s words. “I suppose… you’re the one she’s always trusted with her personal matters. She’s never even taken me here before, so I wouldn’t know. Even though we have very deep feelings for each other, there are still some things she has kept secret from me.”

“I know everything, Lady Stormsword. I’m the closest thing to a mother she’s ever had. Even though I was less than ten back in the days, I’ve helped taking care of her since her birth. At first I was her best friend, and when I got old enough I became her personal maid. I’m lucky… I really am.”

Hekate tilted her head, “Closest thing to a mother? What do you mean by that?”

“She hasn’t told you? Her mother died giving birth to her. Without me all she would’ve had was her bossy father whose only concern is that she will be a great sorceress. And so did most of the other families, both from Vanessa and their own children. Floodrivers, Whispermountains and especially the Ragefires. I was the only one who accepted her the way she is. I can still remember the days when she was ten. I had just turned eighteen and I was finally accepted, partly by Vanessa’s own request, to be her personal maid. Her training was very strict, so she often returned crying. I was the only one to soothe her pain. As I said, I’m glad she finally found another one to turn to on rainy days.” With that, Gisella slowly reached out and took Hekate’s hand. Smiling gently, she looked right into her eyes. “Please take good care of her, Lady Stormsword.”

Slowly taking in what she had just been told, Hekate nodded, “You have my word, miss… Gisella.”

“Good!” Gisella exclaimed in joy, hopping up and continuing to dust the nearby lamp while humming a joyful tune. Hekate blinked, confused by Gisella’s sudden change in mood and tone of voice. Shrugging, she looked down at Vanessa again. As she glanced up Gisella was, once again, nowhere to be found. That is, until she surprised Hekate from behind, tickling her with her whisk.

“Nya~n!” she exclaimed, both women letting out a fit of giggles as she moved to the drawer. Though playful, she was clearly doing a good job with the cleaning… or perhaps it was just magic. Scratching her head, Hekate once more looked down at Vanessa. You have a very interesting maid, dear. Slowly lowering herself, she placed a gentle kiss on Vanessa’s forehead. As she lay down and cuddled against her loved one, Hekate gently placed a hand on Vanessa’s bosom and allowed her eyes to close. She tried to ignore Gisella, but the playful maid just couldn’t help tickling and otherwise disturbing the young blacksmith’s daughter. Some thirty minutes passed before she was done. Gisella, proud of the results of her work, walked to the door.

“One hour to lights out, sweetheart,” she said to Hekate, blowing her a kiss before carefully closing the door. Hekate couldn’t help noticing the simple golden wedding ring Gisella was wearing. She’s married and acts like that? I guess that’s kinda cute.

Smiling, she focussed on her slumbering beauty once more, gently cuddling up against her. Some sinful fondling was involved, though the wild lover did keep both her own and Vanessa’s clothes on. She was happy to be on her side. Her loved one’s right arm gently squeezed between her breasts, Hekate closed her eyes, tightened her hug around her one and only Vanessa…

And fell asleep.

As dawn came, the rays of sunlight woke her. I thought the curtains were closed. She heard a familiar giggle echo in the room, and without a moment’s notice the sheet was off.

“Good mohningu, Hekate-chan!” Gisella exclaimed cheerfully only to notice something fairly interesting. During the night, Hekate had moved even closer (if that was even possible). She was almost on top of Vanessa, with both arms and even one leg wrapped around her person, their cheeks gently pressed together. Gisella tilted her head, blinking (in a rather cute way, one might add) “… kinky desu.”

Hekate’s eyes widened as she nearly jumped off the slumbering, battle robe-clad woman, blushing brightly. “I-uh, erm… oh, geez…” she glanced at Gisella, who just giggled at her. “You’re so cute!”

“I give up,” Hekate said with a chuckle, “Vanessa keeps telling me that too.” Scratching her head, she sat up and looked at Gisella again. She was odd, very odd. Hekate couldn’t help wondering what sort of youth Vanessa had had with this woman as her servant.

A weak, whimper-like sound interrupted her thoughts, she looked down at Vanessa, who slowly moved her head in her direction. Gisella dropped the sheet she was holding, “Vanessa-sama?”

And with that, Vanessa slowly opened her eyes and looked up. She could only widen her eyes in awe at what she saw. There she was. Now that she had returned, her angel was waiting. The soft, red cheeks, the seductive, deep blue eyes, the long golden hair. Not only that, she saw more. Along with the golden hair, barely noticeable, was a shining golden halo. And wings… yes, she had wings. Pure, white, fluffy, big and beautiful. As she stared at her, something she didn’t even dare fantasize about happened. The angel smiled softly as she looked back into Vanessa’s eyes… and spoke.

“Welcome back, my love.”

Part XIII: Let nothing stand in love's way

Where am I?

Gazing up at what she was sure to be her lover in her true form, Vanessa smiled weakly. She tried to lift her hand but couldn’t. She felt warmth on her wrist and could only witness as the angel gently guided her hand to her cheek. So soft… She opened her mouth to speak, but her words came out in the form of a mere sigh. The divine entity, smiling, slowly descended and gave her a kiss she barely had the stamina to return. If this is heaven, I like what I’m seeing this far.

A highly familiar female voice took her back to reality, “Wai~! That’s so cute, Hekate-chan!” She was, indeed, alive. And, at this point, that was even better than being in heaven. Still, she could see a halo and wings on her lover. Why? Was she hallucinating? Were they real? Perhaps it was a bit of both.

As their lips parted she could only smile. She watched her angel glance over her shoulder and speak with her soft, soothing voice. “Gisella dear, could you please get me some water?”

“Of course, ma’am!” the maid exclaimed joyfully before more or less dancing her way out of the room.

Those fluffy wings flapped gently as the angel turned back to Vanessa, “You’ve been away for a while, my love. I missed you”

Again, Vanessa tried to speak but obviously failed in doing so. With a loving gaze, her heart’s mistress softly stroked her cheek. All she could do at that time was to blush. Some seconds they just gazed lovingly at each other, until they were once again interrupted by Gisella.

“Mizu desu, Hekate-chan!” she exclaimed from the door, bringing along a large glass jug full of water.

Hekate didn’t respond at first, but after a while of blinking and general confusion, one word escaped her lips. “What?”

“Water!”

“… Right. Got a glass, by chance?”

“Naturally.”

“You know what to do, then.”

With great haste, Gisella filled a tall glass with water and gave said glass to Hekate. Smiling, she gently slid a hand under Vanessa’s head and lifted her a little. “Honey, you need to drink this. I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

“Ano…” Gisella said with a tilt of her head.

“Yes?”

“Why should she drink the moment she wakes up?”

“Dehydration. She was out cold for a few days, right? I presume she didn’t eat or drink anything during this time. We’re lucky, she might’ve died if she’d been dreaming for another day.”

Tilting her head the other way, Gisella blinked. “How do you know all this, Hekate-chan?”

“My mother is a Kharidian, and used to work as a nurse. Knowledge of such things comes in handy out in the desert, don’t you think?”

“Well, I guess…”

Vanessa felt much better the moment the cold water flowed down her dry throat. Within seconds she felt invigorated. As the pristine glass parted from her lips she took a deep breath. She looked up at her angel and smiled. Not long before she felt the glass against her lips again. She slowly allowed an opening and let more refreshing water run down her throat. She felt Hekate gently tilt her head backwards, allowing the remaining water to flow down. With this, the young angel gave the empty glass to her maid and spoke with a stern voice. “Refill, please.”

“Yes ma’am.”

To everyone’s great surprise, it was Vanessa who spoke next. She couldn’t speak any louder than a mere whisper, but she was still heard, “Heka… te…”

The one she called for immediately turned to her with widened eyes, “Vanessa?”

“Vanessa-sama?” Gisella responded in the meantime, not noticing that the glass she was refilling started to overflow.

Feeling a trace of regained strength, Vanessa struggled to raise her arm and landed it on her chest. She then slowly clenched her hand to point at her chest. Hekate raised an eyebrow, “What is it, Vanessa?”

“Hea… vy…”

Nodding swiftly, Hekate started to look for various knots and buttons and started opening them. As she managed to open everything holding all those layers of clothing together she gently began pulling them down. As Vanessa’s bare chest was revealed and Hekate, more or less as a natural reaction, stopped and stared, Gisella leaned in a little and took a glance. Then she eyed Hekate, concentrating on her chest, then looked down at her own “pair”. With that, she looked at Hekate and spoke, “Wow… you’re racked!”

Hekate raised a questioning eyebrow at her, but said nothing. Gisella continued, “Really! You are! Just look at yourself, that’s one impressive pair of boobies you’ve got there.”

Hekate raised her other eyebrow to be at same level with the other, “Excuse me?”

“Just saying, honey. It’s not like that’s the only perk you have.”

“What?”

“Ever had a good look in the mirror? Ever focused on that nice, very well-shaped and most likely soft butt of yours?”

Hekate blushed at the compliment, ”What?!”

Gisella giggled loudly, “You’re so cute when you blush!”

”Miss Gisella!”

“What? Can’t take a little tease? I find your reaction somewhat… revealing, concerning your personality.”

“Revealing? You’d like that, wouldn’t you? Naughty miss Maid…”

This time, it was Gisella’s turn to blush. Grinning, Hekate added, “You’re so indescribably cute when you blush.”

Gisella backed away, her entire face turning red within seconds. “Y… yamete kudasai.”

”What?”

“Hekate-chan… hidoi… hidoi desu.”

“I don’t understa-..”

”Nyan! Just kidding!”

With a sigh and a shake of her head, Hekate turned back to Vanessa. She was giggling weakly. Indeed, the two most important people in her life were getting to know each other, she knew it would be interesting. Especially Gisella’s telling-it-as-it-is way of expressing her opinions was something she looked forward to see Hekate’s reaction to. Though it was already “common knowledge,” Vanessa couldn’t stop thinking of how cute her angel was with those flushed cheeks. As she felt her clothes being pulled down further she felt the warmth spread across her own cheeks aswell. Slowly, she felt the weight of the heavy robes lifted from her tired body and was filled with a feeling of ease. A soft touch by her waist, a stroke upwards. Weakly, the Windweaver lifted her head and saw her angel’s finger gently find its way up. Between her breasts, the left side of her neck, ascension… as she felt a stroke on her cheek she let out a pleasant sigh. With that the angel slowly descended. Vanessa felt her lover’s hair semi-intentionally stroke her right cheek amd soon heard a soft whisper. “It makes me happy to see you’re untouched, my love.”

“Ano… Hekate-chan…” Gisella said quietly. Hekate slowly rose and turned to her, “Yes, Gisella?”

“You seem to, ehm… uhh… have the situation-umm… under control, so I’ll just, ehm… head off, ne? I’ll leave this water here.”

After the maid placed the half empty jug on the nearby table and gave the Full glass to Hekate, she swiftly walked out and locked the door behind her. No disturbers, no danger, no boundaries. Hekate gently lifted Vanessa’s head and placed the glass against her lips, “You really should drink this, dear.” As Hekate gently tipped the glass, Vanessa felt that refreshing stream in her throat. Even though she was alive, it felt like heaven. The soft bed, her lover’s warmth and especially her pampering… she wished for that moment to last forever. As the glass parted from her lips, she averted her eyes to notice there still was a little.

“You’re not getting the rest the easy way, dear.” Hekate said with a smug grin as she poured the remainder in her own mouth and leaned in for a soft, gentle kiss. As Vanessa struggled to return the gesture, she gratefully drank the water so… lovingly given to her.

“I suppose,” Hekate said as the kiss broke, “that you need to rest. It’s a shame, there are so many things I want to do to you now.”

As she slowly climbed off from the bed and tucked her loved one in, Hekate glanced over her shoulder at Gisella. All along, she was simply staring at the two. Now she just blinked a few times and then turned to stare at Hekate. “Hekate-chan… k-kirei wa. Hekate-chan to Vanessa-sama no shoujo-ai wa…”

”Gisella, please,” Hekate interrupted her outlandish blabber, ”I don’t understand a word.”

The maid looked down, the red glow on her face brightening, “Nyu~…”

“I… need to clear my head for a moment, I’m heading out for a while. I’m leaving Vanessa to you for the meantime.”

A quick nod from Gisella, and Hekate walked out after giving Vanessa one last loving glance from the door. On her way outside, she couldn’t help stopping to have a look around. The wide, tall hallways, the majestic design, everything was awe-inspiring even in the corridors. It took her roughly twenty minutes to get out of the building, partly because she stopped to stare at various things every now and then, and partly because she got lost twice on her way out. Outside, she admired the well-maintained gardens for a few minutes before walking to a nearby bench and sitting down. Gazing up into the clear sky, she took a deep breath. Thoughts streamed through her mind: How did Vanessa end up in that condition? Was she injured? Did she overdo something? What exactly happened? Is there anything else she could do for her? The conversation with Gisella also bothered her. Just what kind of life has her loved one led before meeting her? Why didn’t Vanessa ever care to tell her about these things? When would Vanessa trust her enough to share her past with her? Does she do that already? Is it her fault for not asking?

Why won’t she find out?

She sprung up and looked at the academy’s door from the mere thought. She dashed inside, nearly knocking over a novice magister on her way. After a hasty “I’m sorry!” she slowed down and walked up the stairs. Examining the doors, she finally came across an office titled “Vanessa E. Stillwind – The Windweaver”

Not thinking further, she simply opened the door and entered. As expected, the office was even more decorated than most of the building (if that was even possible). She walked to the desk and sat down, examining. The desk was very neat and clean. There were some official looking papers on the corner and a quill with a bottle of ink on the other. There were various pictures on the desk. First there was a man that, judging by his facial features and white robes, could be Vanessa’s father. Next to that was a woman wearing a shining golden dress. Counting out her very generously developed chest, she was just like Vanessa. Man, I think those are bigger than mine. Moving on, she saw a young adult hugging what appeared to be a very young Vanessa from behind. The woman hugging her was obviously Gisella, though she looked very different with longer hair and casual clothes. The fourth picture was Vanessa herself, apparently casting a spell, lightning emanating from her extended right arm.

To Hekate’s great surprise there was a fifth picture that was of… herself. Whatever the method for that was, it was taken in the local tavern. She looked at herself looking right back, smiling gently. A pickaxe was resting on her shoulder and a gentle smile on her lips, yes… it was her, no doubt. She picked the framed picture up to take a better look, and the image changed. It was still a picture of Hekate, but this time she was in an alley, her arms spread as if she was expecting a hug. She turned the frame and noticed a small button on the backside. She tapped it and turned the frame around to look at a third picture. She was out in the woods with a bright blush on her cheeks and a slightly annoyed facial expression. She was wearing a tiara. Giggling at the memory, she pushed the button again and again, scrolling through the pictures. Hekate up close, Hekate sleeping, Hekate just woken up, Hekate exhausted in a bed, Hekate hiding behind a crate, Hekate in the purple dress Vanessa bought her, Hekate in a hot spring, Hekate sleeping in her nudes with a hand over her breasts, and then the picture from the tavern came back.

Smiling gently, Hekate opened the drawer and saw a plain book with nothing written on the cover. Overwhelmed with curiosity, she picked it up and opened it at a random page. The handwriting was obviously from many a yea back. It read:

Tuesday, 4th of September
I don’t understand why I’m being put through all this all day long and not given any “me-time.” It’s not fair. I’m just twelve, afterall. Why can’t I do what others of my age normally do? The only fun person in this building is Gisella, and even she can’t spend that much time with me. It’s a shame.

I wonder where she is, might aswell go looking for her…

(Humming thoughtfully, Hekate skipped a bunch of pages and read the notes for another day.)

Sunday, 7th of May
It’s all clear to me now. All this time I’ve lied to myself, lied about my own attractions. All my life I’ve been told about how everything will be perfect once I find the right man and marry him. That I needed to change with every passing lad, to soothe their theories and generally kiss their arses hoping that they would acknowledge me and potentially fall for me. Lies, all lies. All this time I’ve been looking out for that someone, that one man that I want. As expected, I was smacked in the face by that bitch we commonly call “truth.”

I did meet a person I found myself attracted to. Not that majorly, but I found that person gorgeous. A true beauty, someone I’d gladly marry if there wasn’t a certain issue… the issue of femininity.

That’s right, it was a woman. I cannot explain why I would feel this way about a lady, but this is how it appears to be. Later today, I told Gisella about the matter. She was unexpectedly surprised, considering how she has acted around me ever since my breasts started growing. She didn’t take it hard though, in fact what she said to me was more like an encouragement. Maybe I should just go for it. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll find a lady with similar interests. The chances are slim, considering the general public, but it’s not zero, is it?

I hope one day I will be able to say it loudly and proudly, “My name is Vanessa Stillwind, and I like girls!”

Though, the most likely outcome is that I will never see that day.

(Smiling faintly, she skipped some more pages and read another day’s report.)

Thursday, 28th of May
Today, I met an angel.

(Hekate blushed at this, but kept reading)

A truly divine being, without doubt. I met her in the tavern during one of my breaks. She was apparently a miner, which struck me as a little… odd. A female miner? Angels sure have a lot of imagination when they make up their disguises. She sure has seen a lot for a miner. I mean, she’s even slain a dragon! Miner, yeah right. Everything in her is divine: her looks, her walk, her attitude… she’s perfect. Of course, I forgot to ask about seeing her again somewhere, but she asked me later that day. I crave to meet her again, I’m overwhelmed with desire.

(After this Hekate read on, the blush on her cheeks brightening with every sentence. Still, she couldn’t stop reading, especially notes such as “She did that thing with her tongue again” surrounded by small hearts was something she found highly embarrassing.)

At this point, Hekate closed the diary and placed it back in the drawer she took it out from. Her face was more or less glowing red. Her and Vanessa? In holy matrimony? The thought both intrigued and scared her. She felt her heart throbbing. She knew what Vanessa desired, and, now that she gave it some though, also knew that the feeling was mutual. Nonetheless, the thought frightened her.

That reminds me, I wonder if she’s any better now. Shrugging, Hekate left Vanessa’s office to look for her room in the dorms. A few hours had already passed, and a few more were wasted in the search. Hekate was never good with directions, and getting lost in a complex building like the academy of magic was not something one would be surprised of in her case.

Finally, she found the fifteenth dorm room. She knocked, and Gisella was answering the door in an instant. “Where’ve you been?”

“Um… around. Thinking.” Hekate answered awkwardly, scratching the back of her head.

“Well come in, Vanessa’s gotten a lot better now.”

She entered the room and looked into the bed. Vanessa was there, but not in a position she would’ve expected. Instead of lying on her back in her nudes, she was sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing a very expensive looking nightgown. As Hekate stepped closer she slowly raised her head. As their eyes met it was as if time had stopped in it’s tracks. For several minutes they just stayed where they were without moving a muscle.

Finally, Vanessa broke the silence, “Hekate… c’mere…”
And she did. As soon as Hekate sat next to her she wrapped her arms around her angel. Sadly, there were no wings this time. But she was there, so Vanessa hardly cared about such details. She just wanted to hold her for eternity, to never let her go. Even though she knew it was selfish, she could only smile at the thought. Soon, Hekate brought her back to reality.

“Um, honey, there’s something I need to tell you.”

Her heart skipped a beat. What’s wrong? What’s happened? Hekate continued, “While I was away, I did… something I probably shouldn’t have done. After roaming around a little, I found your office. Silly as I am, I entered and had a look around… your desk.”

That’s not a big deal, as long as she didn’t…

“Well… I found your diary and… ehm… had a look.” Hekate slowly finished, hanging her head in shame. A second or so, and she continued, “Even though it fills me with joy to know how much you love me, Vanessa, I find marriage frightening. I mean, you know… two women and everything, what would people think? Then again…” there was a pause, “The feeling is mutual.”

Vanessa took Hekate’s hand, and as Hekate raised her head and exposed her brightly flushed cheeks she looked her in the eye and spoke.

“I love you.

I love your eyes. Shining eyes like the universe in spring. I love your kind gaze that’s like the spring sunlight.”
She gently leaned in and stroked Hekate’s hair, “I love your hair. I love your smooth, silken hair that dances in the wind.”
She leaned in for a brief, yet passionate kiss before once more continuing, “I love your lips. I love your soft lips that give me honey kisses and let me hear lonely sighs. I love your body. Your slender waist, which might break if I embrace it. I love the warmth I feel when I touch those firm, nicely shaped breasts.”
She placed a hand on Hekate’s left breast, to the whereabouts of her heart, “But… what I love the most is your heart. Fragile and easily broken, but endlessly pure and beautiful. Your soul, filled with kindness. Which never blames others and forgives all.

I love you. I really love you. I can’t help loving everything about you, Hekate. I don’t need anything other than you. All I want is you. I beg of you, my beautiful angel: Marry me. I will find a way to make it happen.”

Gisella had left the room long before Vanessa’s monologue, knowing that the two would need their privacy. “Ganbatte ne, Vanessa-sama,” she had whispered from the door before closing it. Hekate had no idea of what to do. Her heart was telling her to go for it, her brain to consider. This was, without doubt, not a moment to consider things, so she did what felt right at the time.

She hugged Vanessa, kissing her fiercely and having them both fall on the soft mattress. She gently moved on top of Vanessa, feeling and kissing her again and again, like never before. As their lips parted they just stared at each other for what could have been hours. “Hekate…” Vanessa spoke, but Hekate interrupted her.

“Vanessa Stillwind, my goddess and the mistress of my heart… I accept your proposal.”

Part XIV: Breaking Free

With a quiet clicking sound, Gisella unlocked the door and entered Vanessa’s room. Locking the door behind her and dusting around for a while, she glanced at the bed every now and then. Dawn had not come yet, so even though the curtains were opened it was still dark. What she witnessed was, in her opinion, only to be described with the word “cute.”

Each time she took a peek, she saw Hekate lying on her back sleeping peacefully with Vanessa climbed a little on top of her, using one of her breasts as a pillow, both women freed from the restraining confines of clothing. Their fingers intertwined, the two rested with synchronised breathing, skin on skin.

Done, the maid threw the whisk in the air and made it vanish with a snap of her fingers. She walked to the lonesome, yet comfortable looking (some would even say fluffy) armchair. Snapping her fingers again, a somewhat heavy looking book levitated to her hand from the shelf. Quietly humming a cheerful tune, she opened the book and started reading.

Though little did she know that her finger snapping did something else aswell. Vanessa averted her eyes and, as soon as she noticed the way she was resting, let out a quiet giggle. She glanced at Hekate’s face. Still sleeping, I see. Softly squeezing one of her lover’s breasts, she slowly wrapped her lips around a nipple. She heard Hekate gasp, and soon the sweet angel opened her eyes and looked at her beloved goddess. Aroused, Hekate decided to simply stay there and enjoy herself. As her cheeks were coloured by a blush, her breathing became slightly heavier. Some moments passed with this lustful display before Vanessa slowed down and eventually stopped to raise her head and look her angel in the eye. “Good morning, Hekate.”

“Umnh… morning…”

“You’re so cute in the morning, right after you wake up.” Vanessa stated with a giggle, gently moving a finger around Hekate’s breasts before placing a hand on one and gently squeezing it. As another gasp softly echoed in the room, Vanessa slowly sat up, climbed off the bed and started putting on some clothes. Smiling, Hekate watched her do so for a while before getting up herself. After they were both somewhat dressed, they looked at each other for a while and then walked closer for a gentle, loving embrace. As Vanessa enjoyed her angel’s scent, the divine entity spoke. “Vanessa… I’d like to discuss what we talked about last night.”

“Are you getting second thoughts?” Vanessa asked. She did her best not to sound worried, but didn’t do a really good job with that.

“No, no. It’s just… you said you could make it happen, but I don’t understand. How, exactly, are you going to do that?”

Scratching her head, Vanessa hummed thoughtfully. “Well, actually, I… haven’t thought of that so far.”

Hekate blinked, “Eh… what? Really?”

“Do you really think I have all the answers?”

“… yes?” Hekate inquired with a cheerful expression.

Vanessa shook her head, smiling gently. “Sorry, love. Sometimes I really wish I did.”

“Do you know anyone who wouldn’t mind wedding an odd pair such as us or any villages where relationships like this are more common or…”

“No. Though, we could always fool the public.”

“And how will we do that?”

“I could dress up as a man?”

“I should be doing that if we were to resort to such measures.”

“Eh? Why?”

“You’re much more feminine than I am, and I’m the one with the muscle.”

At this point, Gisella decided to enter the conversation. “Hekate-chan, allow me to remind you that you are also the one with the gigantic breasts.” With this, she briefly licked her index finger and turned a page on the book she was reading.

Hekate jumped, “Gisella! That’s… that’s… ehm… actually a good point.”

Vanessa giggled as she placed her hands on Hekate’s bosom. “Firm, soft and gigantic. I wouldn’t have them any other way.”

“Darling… focus, please,” Hekate whispered in her lover’s ear. Humming softly in enjoyment. She’s so good at this… no surprise, considering how obsessed she is with my breasts.

“There might be such a village somewhere though… I should check my books of history and culture.”

“We’re not in a hurry though, are we?”

“No… but I want to marry you. I want rings… let’s get some! Engagement rings, right now!” Vanessa exclaimed in joy, hugging Hekate tightly.

Hekate was speechless, with an expression mixed with joy and surprise. She staggered a few steps backwards with widened eyes. For a while, she just stared at Vanessa. Why… why am I hesitating?

For a minute or so, she just stared at Vanessa before she finally spoke. Overwhelmed with emotion, she opened her mouth but found herself unable to participate in the decision making. Well, directly anyway. “Oh, Vanessa… Vanessa!” she exclaimed and pounced her lover, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks.

“H-Hekate? Are you all right?”

“Yes, I just…” Hekate whispered, only to burst into joyful tears again. As she finally managed to calm herself down, she took a few deep breaths before looking Vanessa in the eye. “Yes, Vanessa… let’s get some rings.”

“I know just the place, let’s go.”

“Waitwaitwaitwait! Wearing these?” Hekate asked, pointing out that she was wearing nothing but her underwear at the moment.

“Why not?” Vanessa asked with a grin.

“We’re gonna go see a jeweler, right? I can’t possibly go there looking like this.”

Vanessa shook her head, took Hekate’s hand and led her out of the room. “Vanessa, wait! WAIT!” Hekate yelped as she was more or less dragged out of the room.

“Omoshiroi desu,” Gisella said to herself as the door slammed shut. With a smile, she continued reading the book.

As Hekate was led through the corridors, she was surprised to find out how empty they were. However, Vanessa was quick to explain. “It’s Thursday, there’s nothing in schedule before eleven o’clock. You know, taking it easy before the weekend.”

Nodding, Hekate slowed down and Vanessa followed suit. As they slowly came to a halt, Vanessa turned to Hekate and raised a questioning eyebrow. “Vanessa, please…” she spoke before taking a deep breath, “Where are we going?”

“To my treasury.”

“Your what?”

“Are you surprised that I have one?” Vanessa asked with a blink, though the look on Hekate’s face was answer enough. “Well, shall we?” Not caring whether Hekate was going to answer or not, she embraced her with a giggle and warp-dashed them both for the remaining two hundred feet to a certain room. Hekate screamed in surprise, to which Vanessa could only giggle. So cute…

“I’ll never get used to that…” Hekate whimpered, looking frightened.

Stroking her angel’s cheek, Vanessa responded in a soothing tone, “There there, love…”

“Hauuu~…” the blonde whimpered, clinging to her loved one’s arm and looking at her with big, brightly gleaming puppy eyes.

“Awwwww… now, honey, let’s find you something nice and shiny. Ne?”

“Shiny? But Vanessa…”

“But nothing, love. You’re far too modest, it’s about time I got you something classy.”

“What, that five thousand coin dress wasn’t classy?!”

“It wasn’t made of solid gold,” Vanessa replied with a wink. With that, she began rummaging through the various small boxes filled with jewellery. “Now where did I put that…”

“Put what?”

”Patience, dear…”

Scratching her head, Hekate watched Vanessa rummage through her belongings in the dim light. Some minutes passed, and she pulled out a transparent bag full of golden rings. “There we are!” Some more rummaging, and she pulled out a shiny ring with some rune-like symbol carved on it. It faintly reminded her of the pattern she had seen in the runestones back at the altar. Memories rushed through her mind, she’d never forget the day Vanessa confessed her love to her. It was the day the shackles of her heart were shattered and she became free. Her fingers danced across her lips as she remembered further. Her first kiss, the scent of the untouched grass combined with Vanessa’s perfume…

“Yoo hoo?” Vanessa poked Hekate on her left breast, interrupting her daydreaming. “I found it, honey,” she stated cheerfully as she gently took hold of Hekate’s left hand. Slowly and gracefully, she put the ring on Hekate’s ring finger. Hekate could only stare at the ring. It’s so beautiful…

Smiling, Vanessa placed an identical ring on her palm and offered Hekate her own left hand. “Your turn, Hekate dear.”

For a moment she was a little unsure about what to do, but was soon full of confidence. An inner fire of passion burning inside her. Indeed, only her heart could guide her through this. Gently, she took Vanessa’s hand and guided the ring around her ring finger. It felt so right, so good, to share these symbols of love and companionship. It also felt right to speak out what she was about to say, even if it would be merely stating the obvious at the given time. “Vanessa… I love you.”

Vanessa was about to tell her that the feeling was mutual, but Hekate unexpectedly continued. “Vanessa, these carvings take me back to that day at the altar. Surely you remember… what we said and did on that blessed evening. There are few things that would mean more to me that this ring you have given me. To wear something to remind me of our first kiss with me at all times can only be bettered by you being by my side. Words cannot express how grateful I am for this ring… no, for meeting you. I’ve never been good with words, but… I’ve… enough of the talking. I’ll do what I see fit, and what a lady such as yourself deserves after hearing flattering words from a peasant like me. Not only will I swear that what I just said is all true, my goddess… I will seal it with a kiss.

And so she did. Vanessa was absolutely swept off her feet by angel’s sweet voice, and she almost fainted from the following kiss. As Hekate’s soft, warm tongue met Vanessa’s, she closed her eyes, her cheeks burning and her heart racing like never before After all those words, a Kharidian kiss… I’m in heaven. Clung to each other, one wearing a night gown and the other even less than that, they embraced and kissed with passion that would make any Casanova jealous.

As their lips finally parted, Vanessa looked Hekate in the eye. “My love… there is something I must do now… and I need you to come with me.”

Hekate nodded, smiling broadly. “Anything for you, Vanessa. Anything.”

“Let’s get dressed and meet a certain someone… for the last time ever.”

Hekate didn’t ask her who that person might be before they had warp-dashed back to Vanessa’s room and dressed up. Getting a hurried “You’ll see” as a response, she shrugged and followed Vanessa. As they reached the front door of a certain office, Vanessa stopped. Hekate glanced at the name plate and gulped. It read “Gregor Stillwind, the Stormcaller”

“Wait for me to call for you here, allright?” Vanessa said as she knocked on the door. As an angered voice of a seemingly old man responded “What is it?” Vanessa opened the door and entered. Hekate leaned against the door, gazing admiringly at her engagement ring. Runite might be more valuable, but it sure as hell ain’t this pretty…

Inside the grand office, Vanessa slowly walked to the desk where her father was writing something on a scroll. “What is it, Vanessa?”

“I have some things to tell you,” Vanessa answered swiftly.

Gregor nodded, “Sit down and tell me, then.”

As she sat down, Vanessa gulped nervously. “Father… I have some new to tell you, and I doubt that it pleases you to hear them.”

Frowning slightly, Gregor nodded to this. He placed the quill back into the ink container, allowing Vanessa his full attention “Carry on. What troubles you, my dear?”

“Nothing, everything’s perfect… for me anyway. You see…”

“Spit it out, will you? You know my schedule too well to come into my office to play 20 questions.”

“I’ve… fallen in love, father… and the feeling is mutual. I’ve found the person I wish to share my life with.”

The frown vanished, and Gregor started looking rather cheerful. “And that’s bad news? Vanessa, what are you thinking? It fills me with joy to hear this. So, who’s the lucky lad? No, don’t tell me… Hlaine?”

As Ragefire’s name was mentioned Vanessa shivered for a moment, a look of utter disgust flashing on her face. “No, that’s pretty much where the bad news begin. There is no lad, father.”

“I’m not quite sure I follow.”

Vanessa glanced over her shoulder and swayed her hand, the door slowly opening. “You can come in now, dear.”

Unsurely stepping inside, Hekate faced the desk and made a clumsy curtsey, staring at the floor. “P-pleased to meet you, mr. Stillwind, I-I’m Hekate Stormsword.”

Gregor frowned, slamming his desk. “Vanessa, what is the meaning of this? If this is supposed to be some sort of joke, I am not amused.”

Gritting her teeth, Vanessa stood up. She had made up her mind, today she would break free of her father’s chains once and for all. “I assure you that this is no joke, father. I'm deeply in love with this woman, as I have been for a long time already. I don't care about anything as much as I do about her. I plan to marry her, and no might in the world; you, the church nor anything else, will stop me.”

“PREPOSTEROUS!” the old man roared in rage. He extended an arm towards Vanessa, but the young woman was faster in doing so. She smirked, “Are you challenging me, father?”

He understood her point, slowly lowering his hand. There was no point in entering a battle he cannot win. “So… this is the result of it all, is it? After all these years, my daughter won’t even get married in a satisfactory manner…”

“I did become stronger than you, wasn’t that what you wanted? I never left my room during my time off before I turned 16, wasn’t that what you wanted? I did a lot of things in your so called ‘satisfactory manner’ so you’re hardly in the position to frown upon my decision now. Even though you might still consider otherwise, I’m an adult. Or, as you might say, a ‘big girl’. It’s about time I started standing on my own two feet anyway.”

“Vanessa, if you’re serious about this, I am denying you. I will no longer have a daughter.” Gregor said coldly, turning away from Vanessa.

Gritting her teeth, they both blinked back a tear before Vanessa spoke. “Fine… that’s fine with me. You never treated me like one to begin with,” she almost hissed in anger. With that, Vanessa clenched her fists and marched out of the office. Not daring to interfere, Hekate quietly followed her out and closed the door behind her. Vanessa kept her pace as she headed back to her room, Hekate struggling to keep up with her.

“Wait! Wait, Vanessa!” she yelled after her, but the lady in white refused to slow down. Dashing after her, Hekate eventually ran in front of Vanessa and confronted her with a hug. “I’m sorry it turned out this way, Vanessa,” she whispered in her goddess’ ear, holding her tightly. It reminded her of that time in an alley, when she was soothing Vanessa when she was upset. Only, this time there were no tears.

“No, Hekate…” Vanessa replied sternly, both her facial expression and voice showing both sadness and anger, “There’s nothing for you to apologise for. I made this decision and I’m standing behind my words.” Accepting her angel’s embrace, Vanessa placed her head on Hekate’s shoulder. She took many deep breaths, slowly calming herself down. “I’m sorry you had to witness that, Hekate, but I must take this step, lest I will be in my father’s leash forever. Let’s get going, I’ve got a house to build…”

“A house?” Hekate asked as she slowly let go of Vanessa.

“You’ll see,” Vanessa said with a smile, “Let’s go.” Holding handsthe lovers walked down the corridors. Where to? Only Vanessa would know.

On their way they met sorcerer Ragefire, who, judging by his reaction, was in search for them. OR more specifically, in search for Vanessa.

“Up at last I see, Vanessa my dear. What I heard appears to be correct.” He said with a smile, admiringly eyeing Vanessa’s figure up and down.

Vanessa, in turn, briefly glanced at Hlaine. “What do you wa-“ she was interrupted as she noticed a certain detail on Hlaine’s face. “What happened, did you try to hit on a guy or something? A red cheek wouldn’t come as a surprise, but that certainly does.”

Hlaine gritted his teeth, glancing at Hekate. “Why won’t you ask that cute companion of yours?”

“Eh…” Vanessa murmured in confusion, turning to Hekate. She was quick to explain what had happened. “I met whatever-guy-in-a-dress Ragefire in your room, when you were still out cold. A true charmer as he believes he is, he got a little too close for comfort. And quite frankly, pushing a man away doesn’t really cut it. I should know, I’ve been in a pub brawl or two.”

“… so you gave him a black eye?”

“Yup.”

Vanessa’s laughter echoed in the corridors as she fell to the floor holding her stomach. As she rolled about, Hlaine frowned. “Excuse me…”

“Sorry, that’s just…” Vanessa spoke as she managed to calm herself (which took some time), “That’s just so funny… the high and mighty sorcerer Ragefire getting a black eye, given to him by a girl…” there was a short silence, “Then again, considering that it was the two of you, I’m not really that surprised. My dear Hekate here is much stronger and more fit.” Vanessa said with a broad smile, gently squeezing her loved one’s hand.

“HEY! I disapprove to that statement!” Hlaine snapped back, shaking his fist at the two.

“Is that a challenge?” Hekate asked with a grin.

Hlaine was about to grant Hekate’s wish, but Vanessa interrupted him. “Enough with the chit chat, do you have something to tell me, Ragefire?”

“Yes, as a matter of fact I do… the higher ups in the Wilderness sent me a message which I received some hours ago. They were quite impressed by your little act. Before you overdid it and passed out, that is. And, in all honesty, the situation doesn’t look that good right now, they could use some firepower such as yours. They want you there, ASAP.”

Hearing this, Hekate pounced Vanessa, holding on to her and glaring at Hlaine. “No! You are not taking Vanessa away from me again!”

Hlaine rolled her eyes, “For the love of… just exactly what are you, her sister? Or perhaps her loving, overly protective wannabe WIFE? Get real, it’s about time women of your age stopped playing house. We’re talking about the safety of the entire kingdom here!”

“Ragefire… you’re wrong.” Vanessa said back with a smile.

”Huh?”

“She’s not trying to be a protective wannabe wife, she is!” Vanessa raised Hekate’s left hand, showing Hlaine the golden engagement ring with the Stillwind blazon carved on it. “Meet my fiancée, Hekate Stormsword.”

“Your… WHAT?! Have you lost it, Vanessa?! You can’t possibly marry a woman! You were supposed to marry me!”

“Since when was I supposed to do something like that? If I recall correctly, I never said ‘yes’ to any of your pathetic attempts to ask me out. In fact, I was quite irritated by your constant wooing and flirt.”

“But your father, he…”

“For your information!” Vanessa yelled to interrupt Hlaine, “I was never going to reconcile with any of the arranged marriages our parents might have been up to. And my father is probably still banging his head against his desk, because I told him these same news some ten minutes ago. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my fiancée and I have things to do.”

As the two women walked past him, Hlaine just stood there with widened eyes. He was mumbling something, but Hekate and Vanessa didn’t notice nor care about what he had to say.

“Arranged marriages?” Hekate asked Vanessa once they had Hlaine out of sight.

“The downside of being a noble. Parents plan the lives of their children in order to gain more wealth and power for themselves. To me, that was just another obstacle I had to cross in order to get us married.”

“Where are you taking me now, by the way?”

Vanessa smiled, “You’ll see, love.”

They reached some office (Hekate couldn’t tell, the name was written in runes). Vanessa entered, telling her she’ll be right back. She came out some minutes later giggling. “What’s funny?” Hekate asked with a smile, only to be led out of the academy and back to her home. Vanessa didn’t enter, but instead walked to the empty space next to the house.

“See this? I just got us this little piece of land here. I also got some materials to get us a house.”

“A… house? Land?” Hekate blinked a few times. “Just exactly how much money do you have on you?”

“Roughly seven million left on my expense account.”

Hekate’s jaw dropped, “And on this, you spent…”

“Some two million.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me…”

“Well, there’s also my savings, that makes another twenty million, roughly. Not that it matters, time to build a house!”

“Let me guess, you’ll hire a few hundred bu-…”

“I’ll make it myself.”

“What?!”

“Just watch me.” With a grin, Vanessa snapped her fingers. Soon, there was a huge load of planks, stone, plaster, tiles and other materials gathered in neat piles around Vanessa. She began to chant immediately, the stones flinging over the area, flattening it and creating a solid base for a house. Next the tiles and plaster flew in along with the planks, and after one chaotic display of wind sorcery the two were gathered in a neat pattern. It started to look like a house. Everything miscellaneous was thrown in next and finally layers of metal placed themselves on top of everything to create a roof. The whole process took Vanessa roughly one hour.

“There,” Vanessa said cheerfully, even though she was panting a little, “Now all I have to do is get some furniture and wait for the plaster to dry and we’re all set!”

She turned to Hekate, who first stared at the house, then at Vanessa and then at the house again. She continued doing so for several minutes only to end up scratching her head. “Ehm…”

“No questions, let’s see if I got the fireplace assembled right,” Vanessa said as she walked inside.

Hekate paced to the doorway before she spoke, “If you don’t mind, I have two people who surely ought to know about our engagement.” Receiving a quick, cheerful “Okay” as a response, she walked next door.

Luckily for her, her parents were home at that time. She could tell from the blacksmith’s hammer next to the apron on the shelf and the delicious smell coming from the kitchen.

“Darling, did you hear that just now? Someone’s causing a ruckus outside,” Gicciolina said audibly, glancing out of the window.

“Oh, aye,” Benjamin answered, “But I can’t be arsed ta be findin’ out now. I just got all o’ those swords made fer that dragonslayer fella.”

“By Guthix…” the Kharidian gasped as she looked out of another window, “That house wasn’t there this morning! We’re going to have someone rich as our new neighbout!”

At this point Hekate decided to enter the conversation, “That’s Vanessa, she just made that.”

“Oh, good afternoon. Where’ve you been?”

“At Vanessa’s, and something nice happened there.” Hekate said with a broad smile, flashing her engagement ring at her mother.

Gicciolina’s eyes widened, “Oh my… that’s wonderful! Darling, look! Our daughter’s engaged!”

“Eh?” Tha’s great, girl! An’ to a wealthy one too.”

“Indeed,” Hekate said, beaming, “I’m soon to be married to a rich person whom with I will move right next door from here. Though it’s not like wealth matters… I didn’t really know she’s that wealthy when I met her, that’s just added bonus, right? Nonetheless, Vanessa and I will probably be spending a night or two here, since the house won’t be ready right away. You know, furniture and stuff has to be bought and/or made.”

“Of course, we can always have a guest, especially one such as Vanessa.”

“I’m not sure, but Gisella might be coming here aswell.”

“Who’s that?”

“Vanessa’s personal maid. She’s a… lively person, very lively.”

Hekate walked to the window and looked at the house. It was difficult to imagine that she’d move out of her home and start living right next door to a house that took roughly an hour to build. Hekate waved at Vanessa as she noticed her looking out of one of the house’s windows and Vanessa waved back as soon as she noticed. She could only smile as she thought about what would happen next.

Indeed, for both Hekate and Vanessa, this would be a new beginning.

Part XV: Preparations for something grand.

A birdsong broke the silence on a calm Saturday morning, slowly waking up the habitants of the houses nearby. Rising from their beds, the citizens slowly proceeded to enjoy their weekend, all but one.

Still in bed, a lady in her mid twenties rolled over and let out a quiet hum. She dreamt, dreamt of past events. Stroking her hair, she thought of another person, a person who had just recently done the exact same thing to her. The feeling of that person’s lips against hers and those very lips gently lowering. Her cheek, chin and neck were the first to receive a soft, loving kiss. The lady giggled gently as her breasts were softly caressed by the other’s fingers. As the lips reached a nipple, a tongue joined the play. The lady, still giggling, closed her eyes and enjoyed as those lips slowly moved downwards. Gentle strokes sliding down to her belly, and further down. The lady became anxious, she knew the feeling that was about to come far too well to be patient. Once more, the tongue joined the play, placing the lady in a situation where she wouldn’t with to be if the situation was other. She became submissive, surrendering fully to the person so eagerly caressing her. As the feeling she had impatiently awaited was finally beginning to be delivered, she gasped. One loving lick after another, the gentle strokes across the rest of the lady’s voluptuous body only added to the effect of the main course. Humming out in plain enjoyment, the lady slowly moved her hand downwards. She placed her hand on top of her lover’s head to affectionately stroke that person’s hair only to be grabbed by the wrist and having her hand guided away. The steady stream of pleasure forcing a moan out of the lady’s lips, she quickly learned her place in the play. She was the fluff, the submissive one, the one dominated, the pleasure slave. As more overwhelming waves of pleasure streamed through her body, the lady expressed her enjoyment with song-like moans. That, accompanied by gasps and the beats of her racing heart, in a way, gave her the role of an instrument, a role she would happily fulfil. Taken closer to a wonderful climax, the lady clenched her hands and sang, the sheets being wrinkled between her fingers.

As the lady’s song of love echoed in the night, she was heard, or more appropriately, listened to, by another lady, one in her early thirties. This particular lady was sitting at her window, sipping tea from her cup. It was four in the morning, so she would be working two hours from now. The lady listened to the other lady’s song with a smile and glanced through the open door at her own darling. He simply lied there in the bed, exhausted. The lady smirked, listening to the song while finishing her tea. She hummed thoughtfully. She’s a bit loud, perhaps. She placed the cup away and headed for the wardrobe to change into her maid outfit.

“Oh,” she thought out loud before reaching for her accessories, “Almost forgot it’s Saturday…”

Some minutes later, the lady had left her house and entered one close by. She knew the likeliness of sleeping residents, in fact there were four of them. She snuck in and walked into the kitchen. Nice and neat, as expected. Perhaps in need of a little dusting, but that’s what I’m here for. She hummed a joyful tune as she swept across the furniture with her whisk, and before long she was almost finished. As she moved on to the last cupboard and opened it, a sleepy voice caught her by surprise.

“Gisella… what’s with the cat ears?”

She glanced to her left at a lady wearing a black dress. She smirked. Target acquired. She then threw the whisk on the table in a careless manner and pounced the other lady. “Nyan!”

Hekate could only let out a surprised “O-oi!” before they both collapsed to the floor with a loud crash. Just at that moment, Gicciolina walked in. “Good morni-“ she spoke only to be interrupted by the sight of a cat-eared maid on top of her daughter. Considering the view, she was in the best location imaginable. Like the straightforward Kharidian woman she is, she couldn’t help speaking her mind.

“Pink panties are just too cute for words. Hekate dear, who’s the kitty and why is she doing what I’d only expect Vanessa to do to you?

“She’s –“

“Nyan nyan!” Gisella interrupted, nuzzling Hekate.

”Oh… morning Gisella.” Vanessa said with a yawn while entering the kitchen, scratching her head with her hair all messed up. Gisella jumped off of Hekate only to pounce Vanessa, but this time there was no crash. Vanessa saw it coming and received it with open arms.

”Vanessa-sama~! Nyan!”

Blushing, Hekate stood up and turned to the two. “Seriously Gisella, what’s with the cat ears and the cuddling?”

”Oh, I never told you?” Vanessa asked with a blink, “It’s Caturday.”

Hekate scratched her head, looking puzzled, “… Caturday?”

“Caturday! Nyan nyan!” Gisella exclaimed with a fit of giggles, clinging to Vanessa’s arm as she turned to Hekate.

“Wrong person, sweetheart.” Hekate said, glaring slightly at Gisella

“I guess an explanation is in order,” Vanessa said, stroking Gisella’s cheek, “Right, Gisella?”

“Nyan!” was her only response.

“I’m looking forward to hear this one,” Hekate mumbled, rolling her eyes while her mother nodded in agreement. Sitting down at the table, she glanced at her mother. “Mom, got any coffee?”

As Gicciolina nodded and slid her way to the cupboards, Gisella and Vanessa accompanied Hekate at the table. Having the catgirl still clung to her arm, Vanessa sat down and handsigned the other lady to let go. Reluctantly, she obeyed. With all four sitting at the table and the coffee served, Vanessa cleared her throat.

“It all started when I was fifteen. I had recently... discovered myself, I’m certain that know what I mean. Shortly after this I was in despair after seeing and spending time with many of my fellow ladies in the academy. Of course, none of them took me seriously. Never did I meet anyone with… similar interests. There was, though, someone who knew me well and understood my frustration.” Smiling gently, she shifted closer to Gisella and hugged her. Gisella, in turn, pressed her cheek against Vanessa’s, letting out a playful “Nyan!” before Vanessa continued. “For a long time I lived dreading that I might never be kissing another woman. Lucky for me, Gisella came up with an idea, and I would get to enjoy the warmth and embrace of another person. Every Saturday, or “Caturday”, Gisella would dress and act like she does now. Now I have a cute catgirl in my arms every Saturday to do as I please with. Sounds inappropriate, I know, but if it wasn’t for Caturdays and spending sometimes even excessive amounts of time in Gisella’s embrace, I probably would’ve gone mad long before I met Hekate.”

Gicciolina sipped her coffee, nodding. “Well, it’s not like I can blame you for that.” She continued soon as she noticed Hekate glancing questionably at her. “I wasn’t exactly a saint before I met Benny either.”

“Right…” Hekate murmured, visibly not wanting to know more. She turned to Vanessa, “Say, what about the Saturdays when you were with me?”

“I knew she had a hot date so Caturday was, sort of, cancelled…” Gisella answered in Vanessa’s place, “I still had the outfit though.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s cute!”

“I suppose...” Hekate said with a faint smile, once more turning to Vanessa. She showed her wife to be her engagement ring, “Tell me, when did you plan to set up a wedding for the two of us? You told me you’d find a way, didn’t you?”

“Nessa-chan!” Gisella interrupted, “Nessa-chan can do that!”

“And just who might-“

“My cousin. I’m sure she won’t mind. She owes me a few anyway."

Vanessa blinked, “You’ve never told me that, Gisella. It’s not that I’m bothered or anything, but why not?”

“It’s because Vanessa-sama never asked,” Gisella answered with a giggle, “Nyan!”

“I suppose we’ll visit Gisella’s homeland next week, then.”

“Speaking of which...” Hekate glanced at Gisella, “Where do you live?”

Vanessa and Gisella were equally quick to answer, but their answers differed. Gisella said “The Lunar Island” while Vanessa said “The Lunatic Island”

Hekate blinked to this, and so did Gicciolina. “The what now?” they asked chorally.

“The Lunatic Island is, just as is sounds, a silly place full of silly people with silly culture speaking in a silly language.”

“Mou~! Hidoi desu, Vanessa-sama!”’

“See?” Vanessa saind playfully, “Luckily, there’s cuties like Gisella in there too.”

“I won’t help you, you insulted my homeland again.” Gisella said with a pout. Though, it was quite difficult to determine whether she was serious or not.

“Surely you can’t just let us go to your precious Lunar Island unguided? We might so something rude without knowing, then who would agree to wed us? You’ll help us, right?” Vanessa then leaned in closer and whispered something in Gisella’s ear that caused her to put an euphoric expression on her face. Hekate raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.

With that, Gisella slowly stood up and staggered towards the door, “Hai, Vanessa-sama. I’ll go and contact Nessa-chan right now.”

“That would be very nice of you, Gisella. Thanks.”

At the doorway, she mumbled in an extatic voice, “She called me ‘-oneesama’...”

"By the way, are you going to reveal your middle name to Vanessa during the wedding night? That's an ancient Dunewhisper tradition, you know." Gicciolina asked Hekate.

"Uhm... well..."

"What? You have a middle name?" Vanessa asked with a blink

"Well-uh... yeah..."

"Why didn't you tell me that?"

"Well, eh, it's like..."

"She's embarrassed, that's all," Gicciolina stated, sipping her coffee, "I've been there so I know what she’s going through."

"Why would she be em-"

"Because my middle name is embarrassing." Hekate whispered, turning away.

"Really, now?" Vanessa grinned, standing up and rounding the table to sit next to Hekate. She then hugged her tightly and started repeating the same phrase like an impatient child. "Tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me tell me!"

Hekate rolled her eyes, "Do I really have to?"

Gicciolina cut in, "Not before the ceremony. Remember, Hekate dear, it's tradition."

"Y... yes, mom."

"Mou~... I want to know!"

"Well you'd better hurry in getting us married." Hekate answered with a smirk.

"So..." Vanessa lowered her voice and stroked Hekate's cheek, "One week from now... I'll know your oh so very embarrassing middle name." She noticed Hekate flustering. "This will be interesting..."

"Mou~... stop that... meanie." Hekate said with a pout. "How 's the house coming along, by the way?"

"Oh, just fine. It's safe to get in already, and most of the furniture is arrangeable with relative ease."

“So, you probably won’t mind if I’ll go take a look. I’ll be back in a few minutes.” As Hekate stood up and walked to the door, Vanessa glanced at Gicciolina. “Tradition, huh... and what was that about Dunewhispers? Is that you maiden name, mrs. Stormstord?”

“Yes, as it can probably be seen I’m not exactly from around here. I used to live and work in Al’Kharid before I met Benjamin and became a standard issue housewife. It’s a tradition with the women of our family and middle names. One little whisper from her in your wedding night and you and I will be the only ones who know Hekate’s middle name. Just like my mother and Benjamin are the only ones who know mine. And, respectively, Hekate doesn’t know mine and I don’t know my mother’s. And you don’t need to be so formal with me, Vanessa dear. Just call me Gicci.”

“If you insist... and well, that sure sounds like an interesting tradition. It makes me wonder why I was given such an odd middle name. It was probably all decided by my father but... why that precise one? We’re not a family of Kharidians or anything, but it sounds so... exotic. Gypsy-like, I might add.”

“What is it, then?”

“Esmeralda.”

“Admittedly, that doesn’t sound like you at all.”

Vanessa scratched her head, “That’s a bit blunt, but... you’re right, Gicci. I can’t exactly say that I like the name either.”

“If you don’t like it, why won’t you change it in the wedding? It’ll be a new beginning, so you might aswell do that while you’re at it. By the way, have you decided on name changing yet?”

“No... I do have an idea, but I need to discuss it with Hekate first. Afterall, I do enough things without asking her opinion as it is, I’d feel bad if I did this without doing so aswell.”

Gicciolina glanced out of the window at the recently built house next door, only to notice her daughter walking around with an amazed expression on her face.

“She seems to like the house,” she mumbled to herself.

“Eh? Who likes what?”

“Hekate, she’s walking around the house. Apparently she’s quite pleased with the interior.”

“And that’s with incompletedesign, she’ll love it when it’s all done.”

“I’m sure she will.”

Vanessa smirked to herself as she slowly walked to the front door, “I think I’ll go ahead and discuss some things over about the wedding and... well, some other things.”

“Have fun!”

“Oh, it’ll be fun allright...”

“Do I want to know?” Gicciolina asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I doubt that.”

Nodding, the Kharidian finished her coffee as she watched the sorceress practically dance her way to the house next door. She was soon lost in her own thoughts. Her daughter would be getting married next week, but it confused her rather than made her happy. Naturally, seeing her daughter being so cheerful, content and confident about it, it did make her happy. On the other hand, the secrecy later on would probably be a handful to deal with. It wouldn’t really do well to her family’s reputation if the general public was to find out about her daughter’s preferences. And thinking of two women making love... how does that even go? Happiness, uncertainty, worry and curiosity. Indeed, it was a rather confusing matter. Her thoughts were then interrupted by another thought, though it was still wedding related. She moved the cups to the side table waiting for her to motivate herself to fetch a bucket of water and wash them. She smiled faintly, thinking out loud. “I wonder what I should wear...”

Meanwhile, Hekate looked around the comparatively large rooms of the house in awe. Of course, they wouldn’t look so big once all of the furniture would be in there, but it was still very roomy. Am I really going to live in here with Vanessa? This is too good to be true...

Even though she clearly heard the door, she didn’t really notice Vanessa entering the house. Stopping by the fireplace to examine it, she gasped as she noticed the perfectly assembled set of blacksmith equipment next to it. She even thought of this? Now I know she knows me too well...

She was soon interrupted by a sneaky young lady. As she felt a pair of slim arms wrap around her waist she leaned back a little, allowing Vanessa to embrace her thoroughly. With that, she noticed that Vanessa was panting. Hekate slowly turned to her and was soon witnessing the sight of a lust-driven, flustering woman. Her panting turning heavier, she raised her hands to place them on Hekate’s shoulders before looking up into her eyes. “Honey... about that gawping and admiring...”

“Y-yes? what about it, Vanessa?”

“... do you have any idea...” Vanessa spoke in-between her panting as she placed one arm around Hekate’s waist and stroked her hair with the free hand, “... how much that turns me on?”

“N-no?” she responded, her cheeks quickly gaining colour.

“Allow me to demonstrate, Hekate dear...” she whispered as she tightened her hold of her loved one. Closing her eyes, she simply leaned in and kissed the first place she came in contact with, which was Hekate’s neck. Shortly after, she opened her mouth wide and started sucking on that same spot. Hekate gasped and appeared rather tense, surprised by Vanessa’s actions. Having a spot on her neck sucked, she couldn’t help being reminded of vampires. Though, with a vampiress so seductive and beautiful choosing to bite her, she wouldn’t mind even if Vanessa was one. Whimpering, she felt her knees weakening. Soon she trembled before this vampire-like expression of love and affection. Vanessa continued this roleplay-like act with great passion, and before Hekate noticed what she was exactly doing to her it was already too late. While she was giving her a hickey, Vanessa was also using some form of trickery to suck out her energy. Vanessa caught her and slowly lowered her to the floor when she no longer had the strength to stand on her own two feet. She felt dizzy and her vision blurred a little, but she couldn’t keep her eyes off of Vanessa, who was now sitting on top of her, lustfully looking back down in her eyes. With a simple magic trick Vanessa had practically turned her loved one into a doll. She could do whatever she desired with her now, and that was exactly what she had in mind. Though, before this would-be vampiress could proceed with her feast, the victim uttered one exhausted word from her mouth. “... cheater...”

“Anything goes in love and war, Hekate. This house doesn’t look like a warzone to me, so I guess we both know which one is the case this time.” Giggling, Vanessa started opening Hekate’s dress. As the miner girl’s pearly white bra was exposed, Vanessa started panting heavily again. Her helpless victim whimpered under her, knowing what she had coming. The situation was unfair in more than one way. If Hekate had her strength, she could turn tables with relative ease. In this state, she was totally helpless. It kind of annoyed her to be in such a state, but she knew she was in safe hands. Still, she wanted to be able to do something in return for Vanessa’s acts of lust. Anything would do, if she could’ve even raised a hand to stroke Vanessa’s cheek it would’ve been enough. As Vanessa proceeded to expose her body further, she blushed. It felt funny. She thought she would’ve gotten used to being revealed before Vanessa, but apparently she wasn’t. It was embarrassing, especially when she could practically feel her lover staring down at her breasts. It was like she was pressing and squeezing them with her eyes alone, at least until she began doing so with her hands. Gasping and panting, Hekate trembled before her goddess. She tried to raise her arm, but it rose only for a few inches before falling down to the floor again.

A faint sigh of frustration escaped her lips before she accepted her role. It isn’t nearly as good when you can’t do anything...

Meanwhile, Gisella made a little visit to Vanessa’s dorm room. Clicking her fingers, she magically lifted a few things and started carrying them towards the house. On her way she met a guard who stopped her. “Excuse me ma’am, but what exactly do you think you’re doing?”

Gisella tilted her head, “Nyuuu~?”

“Don’t ‘nyuu’ me, ma’am. Please explain your actions to me.”

“But... why?”

“Because carrying furniture and wearing cat ears is a little suspicious.”

“Ano... Vanessa-sama told me to...”

”And who might this Vanessa be?”

“Vanessa Stillwind.”

“Oh, yes, that Vanessa… you some sort of servant of hers? A maid or something?”

“Hai! Meido desu!” Gisella answered excitedly, “You know Vanessa-sama?”

“Well sort of… a good friend of mine is dating with ‘er.”

“Hekate-chan?”

“Aye, that’s the one. Well anyway ma’am, how and why are you carrying furniture around in broad daylight?”

“Vanessa-sama and Hekate-chan are moving, so I was told to help moving stuff.”

“Uh huh, and how are you doing that?” the guard asked, pointing at the levitating furniture.

“Mahou desu.”

“What?”

“Magic.”

“Right, right… well, because of that lady lovin’ thing we’ll probably meet again,” the guard said, holding a hand out to Gisella, “Stu Proudblade, Corporal of the Falador City Guard.”

Gisella shook her hand excitedly, “Gisella, maid.”

“I’m gonna have to ask you not to prance around with those cat ears outside, and to wear some sort of magister’s robe when moving that stuff around. I’ve already received a few reports about a suspicious woman with furniture so…”

“Mou~… do I have to?”

“I’m sorry, but it’s a hassle for the guards to tell everyone that it’s really nothing. It’d be much easier for us and probably for you too if you tried to look like a magister while you’re doing that magical… thingy.”

“Okay… if you say so…” Gisella said quietly, looking a little sad.

“Also…” Stu continued, glancing at the clocktower, “My break just started, mind showing me where those gorgeous ladies are moving?”

“Hai~! Follow me, Stu-san!”

“-san?”

Gisella didn’t answer, she just took control of the levitating items once more and started walking. Shrugging, Stu followed her. That’s one interesting maid she has…

Some minutes later they arrived at Hekate’s home.

“Wait, is Stillwind moving in with ‘Kate’s folks?”

“No, this way.” Gisella answered and kept walking, stopping at the newfound house next door.

Stu couldn’t help but to scratch his head, “Ehm… This wasn’t here last time.”

"Vanessa-sama built it yesterday."

"-sama?" Stu asked about the foreign lady's odd honorifics first, before the rest of her sentence struck him, "Wait, yesterday?!" Receiving a nod, he continued, "You mean it finished yesterday, right?"

"No, start to finish, one day."

Stu's jaw dropped.

"Two hours to be exact."

"How? Just... how?!"

"Mahou desu~." Gisella said, beaming.

"That… meant magic, right?"

The maid nodded, "Sou desu. Now, time to get these in." She waved her right arm, opening one of the house's windows. They weren't that big, but enough to get the furniture in. She then proceeded to the door and, to her great surprise, noticed that it was unlocked. She beckoned Stu to follow her and snuck in. As Stu admired the furniture lacking interior, Gisella pranced around looking for the room she threw the things in. Glancing around a corner, she gasped. She leapt back behind a wall and slowly peeked around to make sure she saw right.

She did. She saw Hekate and Vanessa clung to each other on the floor. With her wife-to-be as the recipient, Vanessa committed one lustful act after another. Everything was allowed, apparently. Coarse groping, gentle caressing, soft, sweet kisses, sinful licking, fiery embrace. By staring at the scene, ensnared by her curious nature, Gisella had witnessed most of what could be called the foreplay of forbidden love.

This was also the first time Gisella had a good look at Hekate’s figure. Under Vanessa’s little love attack, most of Hekate’s body was exposed for the maid to behold. Her skirt was rolled up and wrinkled, concealing only the most secret of secrets, which was most likely further concealed by undergarnments. Either that, or Hekate was even naughtier than Gisella had imagined. Everything above her waist was fully visible. Gisella soon noticed the top part of Hekate’s lingerie on the floor, carelessly thrown in a random direction. Vanessa’s playful giggling filled the air, barely covering Hekate’s panting and gasps.

Stu, with his flawless talent for timing, showed up after Gisella had watched Vanessa express her feeling (or, to be frank, admired Hekate’s voluptuous body) for about ten minutes.

”So, what’s up in here?” he asked casually, causing Gisella to jump in fright. Before she had a chance to act, Stu looked around the corner. ”Wha-” he yelped, and everything froze. As the embarrassed blush on Hekate’s cheeks brightened (if that was even possible anymore), a bright blush appeared on Vanessa’s face aswell. Gisella sank to her knees, feeling incompetent for letting this happen. Stu just stared at Hekate, not knowing where to stare. His look wandered from her slim feminine legs to her muscled, masculine arms and on to her large, round, well-shaped, motherly breasts. He was never given a chance to recognise just how much his childhood friend had developed until now. Her black dress had always left everything to his imagination, and now it was all there for him to admire. As his gaze wandered further to the right their eyes met.

”Hauuu~…” She whimpered as she felt Stu’s piercing gaze on her body and finally returning her stare.

Stu was swept off his feet. She was adorable. There had been several occations where he had found himself falling in love with Hekate just because of a little blush and a smile, or just something she said. There were chances for him to confess to her, some of which he took, but her was subtly turned down each time. These were in the past though, now he didn’t dare risking their friendship, especially now when she already had a special someone. Right now, however, she lied there almost naked in front of him, with Vanessa on top of her with just her underwear on. His thoughts stopped, he had a nosebleed.

”Now my life is complete,” he mumbled before fainting.

In the silence that followed, Hekate and Vanessa stood up and got dressed, their faces glowing of embarrassment. Gisella got up aswell, slowly staggering to Vanessa afterwards. She was just finishing the knots on the shoulderstraps of her dress when Gisella hugged her with teary eyes.

”Gomen nasai, Vanessa-sama…” she whimpered, holding Vanessa tightly.

Hekate was quick to respond to this, although her reaction was somewhat predictable, ”What?”

”She’s apologizing, ”Vanessa explained, ”although I don’t know why.”

”Demo, Vanessa-sama…”

”Gisella, calm down,” Vanessa said peacefully, placing her hands on Gisella’s shoulders. ”You have nothing to apologize for, Gisella dear.” She spoke with a peaceful, soothing voice. Clearly, it wasn’t the first time for Vanessa to be doing this, She was progressing with practiced ease.

”Demo…”

”I don’t understand your mother tongue, Gisella.”

”B-but Vanessa-sama… it was my fault that he…”

Vanessa shook her head lightly, ”How is that your fault, Gisella? He walked here on his own two feet, did he not?”

Gisella nodded, sniffing. ”B-but… I’m the one who invited him in, without Vanessa-sama’s permission.” She then winced and raised her arms in front of herself, as if she expected Vanessa to smite her down for that she did.

”Gisella…” Vanessa continued the process of calming down her guiltstruck maid, ”I’m not angry. And have I ever punished you physically for trivial matters like this, or anything else for that matter?”

”N-no…”

”That’s right. So don’t be so scared. I’m not going to punish you since you clearly don’t deserve it right now. Besides… I’d feel bad if I ever punished you for anything.”

“But…”

“But nothing, okay? No need to cry over spilled milk.”

Slowly gathering herself, Gisella let go of Vanessa and staggered off. “I’ll just… go arrange the furniture.”

“That’d be great. Thank you, Gisella.”

The maid nodded briefly, and although she didn’t sound as energetic as usual, she let out a playful “Nyan!” on her way out.

Hekate spent most of the aforementioned conversation staring out of the window gathering herself.. As the maid left, she was able to speak out what was on her mind, “I was thinking… what will we do with the surname thing? I mean, it’s usually the wife taking her husband’s name, but since in our case it’s two wives… what will be do about this?”

“Well…” Vanessa scratched her head a little, “If we went with mine, we could enjoy the privileges and reputation that goes by the name of Stillwind, but… there are issues.”

“Issues?”

“Well, with ‘freaks’ like us in the family my father would go ape at me and try to reclaim everything I have for himself. There’s also the fact that the general public probably wouldn’t take it so nicely if we flaunted our… uniqueness right in front of everyone. And keeping the Stillwind name through marriage… I don’t think I even want that.”

“I guess there’s always merging.”

“Well yes, but there are just two options if we go with that. ‘Stormwind’ sounds more like the name of a city than that of a family, even though concerning the air manipulating capabilities I have it may sound kind of cool… and ‘Stillsword’ is just plain silly, at least in my opinion.”

Hekate chuckled at the latter, “That’s true, but I guess something has to be done if you wish to change your name. I guess no one objects if you wish to become a Stormsword. At the very least, if that’s what you want, I’m fully behind it.”

Vanessa slowly walked to Hekate and hugged her from behind. “Thank you… I’m glad I finally have someone besides Gisella who understands me.”

Hekate cuddled up against Vanessa, letting off a content hum. “This might sound a little chichéd but… if you’re happy, then I’m happy.”

“By the way… shouldn’t we do something about him over there?” Vanessa asked as she glanced over her shoulder at the still unconscious Stu. In a silent agreement, the two slowly shifted to the unconscious guard and knelt down to have a closer look. Counting out the strange grin on his face, he didn’t show any signs of consciousness. Hekate lifted him up and carried him outside. As she stepped outside she was immediately halted by two guards. “Ma’am, explain yourself.” they chorally demanded with stern voices, clearly making false suspections.

“Well, Stu here had a little accident…” Hekate answered them while she was lowering Stu to a sitting position, having him lean against the wall, “So I thought some fresh air might do him some good. Well then, bye.”

“Hold it! What sort of accident?”

“I’d rather not talk about it. Let’s just say that he saw something he shouldn’t have.” Hekate said swiftly and stepped back in. As he closed the door before the two confused guards she heard them mumbling “You don’t think he… nah, couldn’t be…”

“Aye, no way Proudblade could get a babe like that…”

Hekate reopened the door just to say one thing before closing it again, “Thanks!”

When she got back to Vanessa, Gisella was with her, and they seemed to discuss the upcoming trip to the Lunar Island. The planning seemed to be somewhere near done only on this end of the deal, Gisella’s cousin should still be contacted, and apparently that was what Gisella was about to do. She walked off, so Hekate proceeded to embrace Vanessa from behind, drowning in the sweet scent of her hair and quietly whispering in her ear, “This is exciting… probably the most exciting thing I’ve done this far.”

“Even dragonslaying pales in comparison?” Vanessa asked with a little grin.

“Yes, definitely.” was Hekate’s hasty response. For a while the two just stayed there, looking out of the window of the house that would soon be their new home. Eventually they headed back to the Stormsword estate to spend the night.

The following Sunday was mostly spent moving things in. With the strength of Hekate and two magic wielders, it was over before it even got to a proper start. As soon as the massive bed, being the final piece of furniture, was moved to it’s new decided location, Hekate and Vanessa checked everything in their brand new home. Seeing that everything was as it was supposed to, they looked at each other and nodded.

“This should do it, now all that’s left is getting the dresses.” Vanessa hummed happily.

“Dresses?”

“The wedding dresses, silly! The wedding dresses!”

“O-oh…” Hekate glanced at Vanessa. She slowly eyed her figure and imagined her in a wedding dress. The thought alone made her blush and giggle.

“Looks like you’re a girl afterall, eh?” Vanessa said teasingly before doing what had by now become her signarute move: clinging to Hekate’s arm.

Hekate looked away as the blush on her cheeks brightened, “You’re being mean, Vanessa…”

“But that’s the way you like it, is it not?” the sorceress inquired with a playful smirk.

“That and this are different!”

Vanessa giggled, “But of course. Anyway dear, it’s about time we called it a day. And you know how soft my bed is.”

Before Hekate could respond, Vanessa had already let go of her and was prancing towards the bedroom in an almost taunting manner. “I’ll be waiting~!”

Hekate shortly followed, accepting the challenge issued by her fiancée.

The following week will probably be hectic, but that won’t stop me from enjoying myself tonight.

To be continued..

Aah.

Great job. MOAR! NAO!

Hekate kirjoitti:Some minutes later the two women were tied down and dragged down the road.

Darkness…

Tää pätkä oli kyllä karmivaa luettavaa, vaikka arvasinkin sen olevan pelkkää unta.
Hyvä merkki vaan jos tarinan hahmojen 'kokemat' kauheudet kouraisee sydämmestä.

Mielenkiintoinen luku. Olikin jo vähän aika saada jotain varjoja tarinaan (vaikkei ne aina mukavia olekkaan), ettei, kuten itsekkin sanoit, juttu ala toistaan itteensä liikaa.

Seuraavasta tulee pitempi! Promise! :mrgreen::

Oon se joku, ja mä vaan osaan, ph34r my 1337 5ki115.

Ja otan vapauden nakella tänne myös pari tarinaan liittyvää kuvaa, molemmat on sitten ©Lahis.

Part II
Hekate opened her mouth to speak, but she was silenced by a sob. Silently, Vanessa began crying on her shoulder. Knowing of nothing else to do, she gently returned the hug and simply held her.

Part VI
“B-but, isn’t it a bit… revealing?” Hekate asked quietly, staring down at her own cleavage. She barely noticed as Vanessa walked up to her and placed her hands on her shoulders.

“I don’t like it when you leave so much to the imagination, dear,” Vanessa whispered to her.

I shall paste sum irclogs here:

[14:36] <HeVi> Lahis, joko oot lukassu ysiosan?
[14:39] <Lahis> juu
[14:48] <HeVi> Joo, koko luku kusi tbh. :P
[14:49] <Lahis> vähä ehkä ensimmäisen persoonan kerronta hakusessa
[14:50] <Lahis> muuta valitettavaa ei kyl oo

Hekate kirjoitti:Vanessa slowly began massaging Hekate’s shoulders. Flawless…

Joo.

Hekate on kuningas! :o

LOL WAS

Part XI out.

Voimakkailla hahmoilla ei ookkaa tullu leikittyä hetkeen. (Kyllä, velhot ja velhottaret on mun tarinoissa usein voimakkaita otuksia.) Itse olen vähän pettynyt lopputulokseen, en päässyt paljoa kertomaan siitä mitä hahmojen mielissä liikkui. Onneksi tämän osan lopun myötä pääsen taas normaaliin päiväjärjestykseen... ainakin melkein.

Hell yeah.
